A Brief History continued ■ GMH pursued the Military Housing Privatization Initiative and created "GMH Military Housing" peaking at 43 bases with initial development value of $3.1 billion. ■ In October, 2004, GMH filed an IPO and took the military and student housing companies public (NYSE: GCT). ■ GMH sold GCT in June, 2008 in two separate transactions for a total value of approximately $2 billion. ■ GMH established GMH Ventures - a private equity venture formed to create, acquire and manage operating platforms in the manufacturing, distribution and services industries. ■ GMH Capital Partners is a private company, restructured as a fully integrated real estate owner and service provider, specializing in the areas of ownership, property management, acquisitions, construction, asset management and investment sales.
