He asked to place them on the December agenda to discuss giving them the same courtesy as given to school buses and trash trucks for their service trucks only. November 30, 2011 Dear Mayor and Council, As you are aware I brought np the issue of FP&L trucks crossing our new bridge much like Waste Management vehicles, school busses and our fire trucks. To give you a better feel of weights here is a brief breakdown: Pumper truck..........34,0001bs. without the water. � Ladder truck...........44,000 Ibs. Garbage truck.........44,400 lbs FP&L truck............29,�0 lbs. I for one would like this approved for several reasons. Yes, I am �n electrical contractor, and better response times would benefit resident customers. Normal trouble calls made by our residents who are ezperiencing power problems would be better served. Last and certainly not least, when our first responders require FP&L on site for safety reasons, it would lessen their response time. Looking at the above weights, it seems this would be the right thing to do and not cause problems with the bridge. Respectfully, Jim Humpage
