After reviewing your offer to donate a fully stocked ambulance filled with water and MREs I have been in contact with State Representative Joe Negron's Office who is in contact with the Govemor Bush's Staff to expedite delivery of the ambulance. I have also been in direct conta.ct with representatives of the Governor of Mississippi Haley Barbour today. The people of Mississippi axe very grateful of your offer of assistance. However, their entire infrastructure, including communications, has been damaged state wide. I have had three phone calls with the Governors representatives interrupted today and when we tried to get back together with them we have received the message that "all circuits axe busy" for long periods of time. Between the assistance of Representative Joe Negron and our direct contact with Governor Barbour's Office we expect to get this done as soon as conditions will permit. I will keep all of you up to date on the progress of this matter through the Village Manager. 09/Ol/2005 ; , ' Memo: Mayor and Mernbers of Tequesta Village Council From: Jack Cory Subject: Hurricane Relief- Ambulance Date: September 1, 2005 After the Council Meeting yesterday, the Manager contacted our office and asked us to assist in expediting your very generous offer of assistance to the victims of Hurricane Katrina. : A.fter reviewing youx offer to donate a fully stocked ambulance filled with water and MREs I have been in contact with State Representative Joe Negron's Office who is in cantact with the Governor Bush's Staff to expedite delivery of the ambulance.
