HomeMy WebLinkAboutDocumentation_Planning and Zoning_Tab 02_01/06/2011 DRAFT PLANNING AND ZONING ADVISORY BOARD MEETING MINUTES September 2, 2010 CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL The Village of Tequesta Planning and Zoning Advisory Board held a regularly scheduled meeting at the Tequesta Village Hall, 345 Tequesta Drive, Tequesta, Florida, on Thursday, September 2, 2010. The meeting was called to order at 5:30 p.m.. by Chair Elizabeth Schauer. A roll call was taken by Deanna Mayo, Assistant to the Village Clerk, who noted the foilowing were present: Chair Elizabeth Schauer, Vice Chair Steve Okun, Board Member James Hackett, Board Member Michael Schmidt and Board Member Chase Croft. Also present were Alternate Members Eric Jolly and Edward Gigante, Acting Community Development Director James Weinand, and Assistant to the Village Clerk Deanna Mayo. APPROVAL OF PREVIOUS MEETING MINUTES Vice Chair Okun moved approval of the minutes of August 5, 2010 with the following change on page 2: Replace "sensitive in their attitude towards the merchants" with "strike a sensitive balance between the merchants and residents." Board Member Hackett seconded the motion, which carried by unanimous 5-0 vote. SWEARING IN OF WITNESSES Assistant to the Village Clerk Mayo swore in K+m Lewis and Mark Taylor, who were intending to offer testimony in tonight's case. EXPARTE COMMUNICATION There were no exparte communications reported. OLD BUSINESS — There was no old business to come before the Board. � NEW BUSfNESS P&Z 4-10 Application by Coastal Reconstruction for the exterior painting of Sterling House of Tequesta, 205 and 211 Village Boulevard, MU mixed-use zoning district, in colors Cascade Green, Westhighland White, and Dried Thyme. PLANNING AND ZONING ADVISORY BOARD MEETING MINUTES September 2, 2010 Page2of3 � Acting Community Development Director Weinand presented the applicant's request to � change the sp�cific building colors approved in the originai application. Mark Taylor spoke on behalf of the applicant and asked if the pair.ting could be done in- house. Acting Director Weinand advised this Board only approved the colors; the . contractor would need to contact Community Development. During discussion of the colors, the Board indicated they preferred the monument sign to be painted with Westhighland White and Cascade Green. MOTION Vice Chair Okun moved to approve the application from Coastal Reconstruction for the exterior painting of Sterling House of Tequesta, 205 and 211 Village Boulevard, MU mixed-use zoning district, in colors Cascade Green, Westhighland White, and Dried Thyme; the monument sign was to be painted Westhightand White and Cascade Green. Board Member Hackett seconded the motion. The vote on the motion was as follows: Chair Schauer - Yes Steve Okun - Yes ; James Hackett - Yes � Michael Schmidt - Yes Chase Croft - Yes The motion therefore carried by unanimous 5-0 vote. PUBLIC COMMENT None COMMUNICATION FROM CITIZENS None ANY OTHER MATTERS: None. ADJOURNMENT Upon motion by Vice Chair Okun; seconded by Board Member Schmidt and , unanimously carried, the meeting was adjourned at 5:49 p.m. t
