Please see the attached code regarding tree removal and damage from all land within the Village. This is
admittedly old code which seems to me to have originally been written with new development in mind; however, it is

still on the books and applicable today. Note that in addition, we have Sec. 78-409 which generally requires all property
owners to maintain their landscaping in good condition so as to present a neat and healthy appearance; however, this
sedion does not apply to single family lots (78-392 exempts the single family lots).

Sec. 78-409. - Maintenance.
The owner, occupant, and tenant and the respedive agent of each, if arry, shall be jointly and severally �sponsible
for all landscaping and irrigatio� equipment. Landscaping shall be maintained in a good condition, so as to present a
healthy, neat and orderly appearance at least equal to the original installa#ion, and shall be kept free from refuse and
debris. Any dead vegetation and landscapi�g material shall be promptly replaced with healthy, living plantings.

Landscaping shall be provided in all zoning distrids acxording to the regulations in this division. Single-family lots
are exempt from the provisions of this division except for section 78-396.

DIVISION 2 TREE REMOVAL
Sec. 50-231. - Definitions.

Tree means any self-supporting woody plant, together with i�s root system, �rowitt� up� the earth,`

multistemmed trunk system with a definitely fo�rned crown.
