White, Public Services Manager �� Date: November 30, 2004 Subject: Village Council Agenda Item for December 9, 2004; Consideration To Install Water Mains in the Cove Point Subdivision Please find attached the cost estimate from Arcadis, Reese Macon & Associates, and the petition from the residents of Cove Point. This project has been scheduled for FY 2005/2006 and Staff recommends moving the funds forward to FY 2004/2005. As you are aware, the residents approached us in early October requesting that we service their neighborhood. We can anticipate regrouping most of our costs for this project with the connection fees from the thirty (30) residents who have already signed the petition. These fees equate to $107,642.00, if the remaining twelve (12) hook up there would be an additional $43,058.00 thus leaving the Utilities Department with an out of pocket expense of $32,350.00. It would not take long with water sales to regroup all cost associated with the installation of these mains. Please place this item on the December 9, 2004 Village Council agenda for Council member's authorization. Please f�el free to contact should you have any questions or concerns relative to this item.
