HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution_03-12_04/12/2011 RESOLUTION NO 3 -12 A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, AWARDING A CONTRACT TO FELIX ASSOCIATES OF FLORIDA, INC. FOR THE TEQUESTA DRIVE DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS IN THE AMOUNT OF $373,175.00 AND INCREASING THE FISCAL YEAR 2011/2012 BUDGET IN THE STORMWATER FUND #403 BY APPROPRIATING FUND BALANCE IN THE AMOUNT OF $43,175.00 AND AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE MANAGER TO EXECUTE ON BEHALF OF THE VILLAGE. WHEREAS, the improvements were advertised for bid and Felix Associates of Florida, Inc., the lowest bidder, has been approved by the Village's engineers to perform the improvements; WHEREAS, $330,000.00 was budgeted in the fiscal year 2011/2012 Stormwater #403 budget for the project; WHEREAS, an additional $43,175.00 needs to be appropriated in the Stormwater Fund #403, account # 403 - 250 - 663.663, Drainage Improvements to fund the improvements; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1 Resolution No. is hereby approved awarding a contract to Felix Associates of Florida, Inc. for the Tequesta Drive drainage improvements in the amount of $373,175.00 and increasing the fiscal year 2011/2012 budget in the Stormwater Fund #403 by appropriating Fund Balance in the amount of $43,175.00 and authorizing the Village Manager to execute on behalf of the Village. Section 2 This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage. 1 The foregoing Resolution was offered by Council Member D'Ambra who moved its adoption. Replacement of light poles to proper working order with new lamps provided by FPL 2. Final striping and placement of RPMs along Tequesta Drive 3. Repaving of asphalt driveways on south side of Tequesta Drive 4. Cleaning up of excess asphalt on concrete driveways on south side of Tequesta Drive 5. Repairing all damage incurred to concrete surfaces due to Contractor activities and equipment 6. Re-grading and repaving of brick driveway on south side of Tequesta Drive 7. Install internal joint seals for leaky joints in new storm sewer 8. Replacement of traffic loops at Tequesta Drive and Seabrook Road 9. Submittal of Record Drawings 1. Streetlight and electrical boxes are also to be noted on plans 10. Submittal of any outstanding shop drawings, test results, reports, etc. 11. Maintenance of Trees along Tequesta Drive 1. Removal of dying branches 2. Shaping of trees that were over trimmed along Tequesta Drive to provide a more symmetric profile 12. Irrigation Repairs 1. Make necessary repairs along east side of Short Ave where equipment was stored 2. Adjust sprinkler and mister heads along Tequesta Drive to ensure all new sod is being properly irrigated 13. General Site Restoration 1. Placement of sod near Short Ave. 2. Removal of all excess asphalt near the edge of newly paved areas 3. Maintenance to be performed on new sod to ensure it will allow proper drainage of newly paved areas and create a more uniform swale 14. Release of Liens 15. Release to Engineer 16.
