WHEREAS, this year's theme "Public Works: Creating a Lasting Impression" speaks to the never-ending effort of public works professionals to use sustainable solutions to bring their cominunities the highest possible quality of life witlzin a framework of enviranmental, social, and econamic responsibilitv. NOW, THEREFORE, The Village of Tequesta, Florida does hereby proclaim the week of May 20 through May 26, 2012 as NATIONAL PUBLIC WORKS WEEK in the Village of Tequesta, and calls upon all citizens and civic organizations to acquaint themselves with the issues involved in providing our public works; and to recognize the contributions which public works officials make every day to our health, safety, comfort, and quality of life.
