EXECUTIVE SUMMARY OF MAJOR ISSUES: (This is a snap shot description of the agenda item)
This ordinance creates new regulations for docks, piers and other marine structures located in the Village's canals.
Further, it imports a number of relevant definitions from Chapter 78. Zoning, and adds a new definition for the term
"protrusion" which is important in reading the new canal related code.
The existing dock code remains as-is; however, it will now only apply to properties on the Loxahatchee River and
Intracoastal waterway. Also, the existing code sections of general applicability remain applicable throughout the Village.
