Weinand, Fire Chief RE: GMH Tequesta Holdings LLC Site Pian Application OPN: 10003A Dear Mr. Weinand: On behalf of GMH Tequesta, LLC, please accept this letter as a response to final remarks included in the Viiiage of Tequesta Department of Community Development staff report received on May 14, 2011 for the above referenced project. The comments, and our responses, follow: Comments: The following items need to be addressed by the applicant: - The proposed evacuation plan needs to state that the areas served by the 100 KW generator can house the building occupancy {oad untii evacuation time. - The plan needs to define means of transportation ensuring that it will not burden the Village's EMS system. - The proposed evacuation plan needs to focus on power outages due to different reasons. - In case of hurricanes, the proposed evacuation plan needs to include that this facility is located in a Plan B evacuation area, and it shou(d evacuate for alf major Hurricanes of category 3 or higher in strength (per Palm Beach County evacuation provision). RESPONSE: Licensing and CARF guidelines require Futures fo maintain an evacuation plan settinq forth resident treatment and housing in the event of a nafural disaster emergency sifuation or extended lass of power. If a situation arises that will cause fhe building's electrical power supply to be inferrupted for a significant period, the operational plan is to relocate program residents at Futures' expense to temporary housing located outside of the Village ot Tequesta. The fransportation wifl be provided by FuPures-owned vehicles or other hired means of transportation, it necessary. That being said, fhe Futures facility wil/ be eguipped with a generafor 10003A. staffreport. resp.051512.jcf � � �`f ��� at� T d � � 4 system thaf can provide temporary power for up to seven days fo essentia/ facilities and utilities to ensure residents remain in a safe and healfhy environment for up to 7 days durinq an emergency or power oufage. The evacuation plan is still in draff form at this time and will nof be ' finalized unti! Futures submits its final app/ication for CARF accreditation and Licensing, The plan will be modified to include the Villaqe's commenfs in the `Final Remarks' Section of the Community Developrr�ent Staff Report.
