GREENACRES
Students give money for animal rescue
Students at Diamond View Elementary School near Green-acres on Thursday will donate money to the
Greenacres Public Safety Department to buy five animal oxygen masks for rescuing animals from fires.
About 40 students who are members of the school's ��Critter Club" raised the money for the animal oxygen
masks by selling dog bandanas and dog treats. The donation will take place at the school at 2:30 p.m.

JUPITER
Hostage and SWAT teams to train
The town's police department will conduct a joint training exercise with its hostage negotiation and
SWAT teams from 8 a.m. to noon Thursday at Extreme Tactical Dynamics, 1410 Park Lane S., Suite 4. The
exercise will include numerous police vehicles and personnel. The public is invited to observe the exercise

Residents can get free soil sensors
As part of its Consumptive Use Permit, the vi�lage will supply free soii-moisture sensors beginning
Monday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at village hall, 345 Tequesta Drive. Residents must provide their water
account number and identification to verify they are the property owner. For information, call (561)

BOYNTON BEACH
Woolbright bridge closed Wednesday
The Woolbright Road Bridge across the Intracoastal Waterway from Boynton Beach will be closed from 9
a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday for minor repairs, the town said. Residents are asked to use the Ocean Avenue
bridge in Ocean Ridge or the George Bush Boulevard (Eighth Street) bridge in Delray Beach as alternate
routes.

Mayor to be ordained as minister Sunday
Interim Mayor Woodrow Hay is about to get another title: Reverend. Hay will be ordained at 4 p.m.
Sunday at his congregation, St. John Missionary Baptist Church, 900 Seacrest Blvd.

Memorial Day observance Sunday
The city and the Boynton Veterans' Council will hold a Memorial Day observance at 2 p.m. Sunday at
Boynton Beach Memorial Park, 1611 S. Seacrest Blvd., at Woolbright Road. The event will honor both the
fallen and those serving in the armed forces. Also, several area World War II veterans will receive France's
Legion of Honor Medal. Anyone who served in France during World War II is eligible. Call Tom Kaiser,
