MEETING MINUTES
June 21, 2012
CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL
The Village of Tequesta Planning and Zoning Advisory Board, sitting as the Local Planning
Agency, held a regularly scheduled meeting at the Tequesta Village Hall, 345 Tequesta
Drive, Tequesta, Florida, on Thursday, June 21, 2012. The meeting was called to order at
5:30 p.m. A roll call was taken by Deanna Mayo, Assistant to the Village Clerk, who noted
the following were present: Chair James Hackett, Vice Chair Michael Schmidt, Board
Member Elizabeth Schauer, Board Member Eric Jolly, Board Member Steven P. Eagen, and
Alternate Janet Strand. Also present were Village Attorney Jennifer Ashton, and Assistant to
the Village Clerk Deanna Mayo.
APPROVAL OF AGENDA
MOTION: Board Member Jolly moved to approve the agenda as submitted; Board Member
Schauer seconded the motion, which carried by unanimous 5-0 vote.
1. APPROVAL OF PREVIOUS MEETING MINUTES
MOTION: Board Member Jolly moved to approve the minutes of the May 17, 2092 meeting
as submitted. Board Member Schauer seconded the motion, which carried by unanimous 5-0
vote.
OLD BUSINESS - None
NEW BUSINESS
Public Hearing to consider and make recommendations to the Village Council with
regard to Ordinance No. 9-12.
SWEARING IN OF WITNESSES
There were no witnesses present to be sworn.
EX PARTE COMMUNiCATIONS
No ex parte communications were reported.

2. ORDINANCE NO. 9-12
An Ordinance of the Village Council of the Village of Tequesta, Florida,
amending its Code of Ordinances at Chapter 78, Zoning, Article XII, Flood
Damage Prevention. By repealing this Article in its entirety and re-adopting it
to provide updated Regulations in conformance with Requirements of the
National Flood Insurance Program; Adopting Certain Administrative
Amendments to the Florida Building Code pursuant to Sec. 553.73(5), Florida
Statutes, in furtherance of the National Flood Insurance Program; providing
that each and every other section and subsection of Chapter 78, Zoning, shall
remain in full force and effect as previously a�iopted; providing a conflicts
clause, a severability clause, and authority to codify; providing an effective
date; and for other purposes.
Attorney Ashton provided background for Ordinance No. 9-12.

There were no Board comments.
MOTION
Board Member Jolly moved to approve Ordinance No. 9-12 as submitted. Board Member
Schauer seconded the motion, which carried by unanimous 5-0 vote.
ANY OTHER MATTERS
There were no other matters to come before the Board.
ADJOURNMENT
Upon motion by Board Member Jolly; seconded by Board Member Schauer, and
unanimously carried, the meeting was adjourned at 5:33 p.m.
