CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL The Village of Tequesta Planning and Zoning Advisory Board held a regularly scheduled meeting at the Tequesta Village Hall, 345 Tequesta Drive, Tequesta, Florida, on Thursday, July 19, 2012. The meeting was called to order at 5:30 p.m. A roll call was taken by Deanna Mayo, Assistant to the Village Clerk, who noted the following were present: Board Member Elizabeth Schauer, Board Member Eric Jolly, Board Member Steven P. Eagen, and Alternates Janet Strand and Alternate Sebastian A. Loaiza. Also present were Community Development Director Nilsa Zacarias, Village Attorney Jennifer Gardner Ashton, and Assistant to the Village Clerk Deanna Mayo. Chair James Hackett and Vice Chair Michael Schmidt were absent from the meeting. Village Clerk Assistant Deanna Mayo swore in new alternate Sebastian Loaiza. MOT{ON: Board Member Jolly made a motion that Board Member Schauer act as Chair; Board Member Eagen seconded the motion, which carried by unanimous 5-0 vote. APPROVAL OF AGENDA MOTION: Board Member Eagen moved to approve the agenda as submitted; Board Member Jolly seconded the motion, which carried by unanimous 5-0 vote. 1. APPROVAL OF PREVIOUS MEETING MINUTES MOTION: Board Member Jolly moved approval of the May 97, 2012 meeting minutes as submitted. Board Member Strand seconded the motion, which carried by unanimous 5- 0 vote. OLD BUSINESS None Vice Chair Schmidt arrived at this point in the meeting. MOTfON: Board Member Schauer moved that Vice Chair Schmidt act as Chair. Board Member Jolly seconded the motion, which carried by unanimous 5-0 vote. NEW BUSINESS - None SWEARiNG IN OF WITNESSES All those intending to testify at tonight's hearing were sworn in by the Village Clerk Assistant Mayo. PLANNING AND ZONING ADVISORY BOARD MEETING MINUTES July 19, 2012 Page 2 of 3 EX PARTE COMMUNICATIONS No ex parte communications were reported. 2. SPR 02-12 Application of Island House South West Condominium to remove kitchen door and side light to replace it with high impact windows on each applicable building elevation. The proposed wall color will match existing building color. The address of the application is 325 Beach Road. MOTION: Board Member Jolly moved approval of SPR 02-12. Board Member Schauer seconded the motion, which carried by unanimous 5-0 vote. The Village Attomey c/arified for the record that the Condominium Association's approval for one year; any individua/ units that desire to make these modifications after one year would have to re- apply. Bob Parson, a member of the audience, asked if there was a way of extending the approval so that the whole process would not have to be repeated. The Village Attorney responded there were extensions of time for building permits, but the site plan approval was for one year. 3. SPR 03-12 Application of Lighthouse Cove Condominium to construct a six foot high perimeter fence. The application includes landscaping to screen proposed fence. The address of the application is 230 Village Blvd. PUBLIC COMMENT None BOARD COMMENTS Board Member Schauer reported on June 29, 2001 this applicant, then known as The Florida Club, came before both the Community Appearance Board and Planning and Zoning Board, and a black chain-link fence was approved at that point. She noted t heir present request was for a green chain-link fence and a jasmine vine for appearance. MOTION: Board Member Schauer moved approval of SPR 03-12. Board Member Jolly seconded the motion, which carried by unanimous 5-0 vote.
