1. Glass Shelving
Village Clerk McWilliams advised the committee's budget was $2,500 for this year,
which would not cover the glass quote. Vice-Chair Campbell suggested requesting a
donation from each Council member's discretionary funds. Recording Secretary Laur
presented a synopsis of her discussion with Beacon Glass, whose proposal had not
been received in time for this meeting. She then reviewed the proposa{ from Gunn
Glass, whose quote was $3,528.00.
Committee Member Lee Resnik arrived at this point in the meeting.
Instead of full-length glass doors opening in the center, the committee preferred a top
and a bottom glass door to open on one side instead of in the center, and a shelf could
be placed where they met, making the crack less visible. Village Clerk McWilliams
advised this would be placed on the next agenda for further discussion, and #he quote
from Beacon would be e-mailed to the committee members when received. The
committee suggested talking to Jim Humpage about lighting for the glass cabinets. Vice
Chair Campbell suggested contacting Tom D'Alessandro, who was a framer and might
do the framing at cost plus to give him good public relations to get established in the
community. Mrs. Campbell indicated she would feel that out.
