CALL TO ORDSR AND ROLL CALL .' The Village of Tequesta Board of Adjustment_.held;a regularly scheduled Public Hearing at the Village Ha].1, 357 Tequesta Drive, Tequesta, Florida, on Tuesday, Deeember 15, 1998. The meetinr� was called to order at 7:3U P:1�. by Chair Raymond Schauer. A roll call was taken::- Boardmembers � present were: Chair Raymond Schauer, and Bo�rdm�mbers Kevin Kinnebrew,'David Owens, Vincent Sama, arid John Taylor. Also in attendance was Scott D. Ladd, Clerk of the Board, and Village Attorney John C. Randolph. Absent from the meeting was vice Chair Gilbert Finesilver. II. Attorne�r Roger Biby, representing the applicants, �eported Mr. and Mrs. Levy had �urchased a home on the water at 28 Tradewinds and wished to add two bedrooms to ac�ommodate their children an.d Mr. Levy's mother. The proposed addition, inCluding two bedrooms, bath, and linen closet was reviewed. Mr. Biby explained that a variance was needed to the minimum finish floor el�vation for tihe living . area. Boar.dmember Kirinebrew questioned whether steps could be used. Mr. Biby explained that Mr. Levy' s mother who was aged 82 could �xot negotiate steps. A letter fr�m her doctor to that �e�fect had b�en 4btained, and a l�tter from the Homeowners Association indicated they had na objec.tions. Mr. Biby reviewe@ justification for the variance. Boardmember Kinnebrew que�tioned the Village Attorney as to whet�er if the Board approved this aPplication they could be liable in case the house laCer flooded.
