April 8. • Met with Vice-Mayor Hansen at 12:30 p.m. on April 9. • A Staff Meeting was held on April 13 wherein the following items were discussed: f 1) The Chief of Police was asked to secure quotations for speed limit message device. 2) The Acting Fire Chief was requested to remind�the Administrative Secretary of her Y2K assignment for timely completion of same. 3) Acting Fire Chief was apprised of the need to create and stay on schedule for annual fire inspections. 4) Chief of Police announced that there was no room available in the Dispatch Center for weather radios. 5) Chief of Police asked Village Manager to sign title for recent cars sold as surplus. 6) Acting Fire Chief Burnsed indicated that he updated the members of his department on the status of the Fire Chief, the new building and the Health Insurance changes. • Attended the Police Department Budget Hearing at 10:00 a.m. on April 14. • Attended the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors Meeting at 7:45 a.m. on April 21. • Attended the Fire Department Budget Hearing at 10:OOa.m. on April 21. • Attended the Mayor/Manager Meeting at Juno Beach at 4:00 p.m. on April 21. • A Staff Meeting was conducted on April 27 at 10:00 a.m. wherein the following items were discussed: 1) The Finance Director was questioned as to whether the memorandum from the Computer Committee on standardization of software had been issued. 2) The Finance Director was questioned relative to her understanding of Water Department fees without past due dates. ' 3) Chief of Police was requested to take all outstanding local parking violations not paid in 48 hours to the Special Master for fine and to avail the Department of the provisions F.S. 316.1967. 4) The Acting Water System Manager was requested to make sure that Matthew Morrison was given a copy of the software standards with the Computer Purchase Data Provided to him. 5) The Village Manager gave all in attendance a health insurance update on the employee referendum to switch to FMIT. 6) The Village Manager advised all in attendance of medical leave absence for Director of Public Works and Recreation. 7) The Chief of Police had questions relative to the notice and agenda process and the requirements of his Administrative Secretary relative to the same. 8) The Chief of Police reported on an ongoing power struggle relative to the Countywide communications issue between the Criminal Justice Commission and Audrey Wolf on behalf of Palm Beach County .
