VILLAGE MANAGER' S REPORT
SEPTEMBER 20, 1993 - OCTOBER 8, 1993
During this reporting period, there were 412 recorded phone
calls to the Village Manager's Office and 74 citizen inquiries
at the lobby counter.
O Met with President of Tequesta Gardens on September 23rd to
review Ordinance No. 377.
O Meeting with Mayor Mackail and the Executive Director and
Board Chairman of ENCON to discuss Neighborhood Sewer Program.
O Volunteered as Celebrity Bag Boy for the American Cancer
Society at Tequesta Winn-Dixie on September 28th from 6:00
P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
O Attended a Reception at the Lighthouse Gallery on September
30th.
O Conducted a Staff Meeting on October 5th at 2:45 P.M. wherein
the following items were discussed:
1) Reviewed with all Departments an ameridment to the agenda _
submission deadline policy.
2) Reminded the Disaster Preparedness Coordinator to make
necessary amendments to the Hurricane Plan.

the dispatch center in the Police Department.
5) Reviewed with all Departments the parking requirements of
Village and employee vehicles at Village Hall.
6) Held a general discussion with all Departments relative
to the Village Vacation Policy.

7) Discussed retirement contributions with the Fire Chief.
8) Discussed with the Chief of Police the need to provide an
outline to the Public Safety Committee for addressing
overtime and manpower requirements.
9) Requested the Water System Manager to remind the Finance
Director to process the paperwork for employee.

space needs study for Village offices.

13) The Chief of Police presented the Juvenile Service
Program for execution.
14) The Chief of Police submitted his Reserve Officer Policy
for Village Manager review.
15) Fire Chief indicated that the revised Mutual Aid
Agreement was to be reviewed by the Board of County
� Commissioners on October 24.
16) Fire Chief indicated that it was his plan to mandate flu
vaccine for all Fire-Rescue employees at Village expense.
17) Fire Chief sought direction relative to approval of
departmental policies. �
18) Director of Public Works reported on streetlighting
problem on Seabrook Road.
19) The Director of Public Works reviewed amendments to legal
ads for bids and cost of plan documents.
20) Director of Public Works sought direction relative to
frequency of advertising for bids.
21) The Director of Public Works outlined a plan of action
for approval for the Tequesta Drive Streetscape and
Improvement Project.
22) Director of Public Works sought direction relative to
priority of Capital Project assignments.

23) The Water System Manager advised of anticipated meeting
with Little Club Condominium Association.
24) Water System Manager reported on findings relative to
problems with failure of ATS switch at Water Treatement
Plant and solution to same.
25) Water System Manager reviewed proposals for review of
various system rates.
26) Village Clerk advised of possible electrical wiring
problems within the Water Department impacting Xerox
Machine.
O Attended the Public Safety Committee Meeting on October 6th.
O Attended the North County Planning Forum Meeting at Palm Beach
Gardens at 4:00 P.M. on October 6th.
O Attended a meeting on Cypress Drive Drainage Project at
Jupiter Town Hall at 4:00 P.M. on October 6th.
O Met with Ron McLamore, Assistant County Administrator, Martin
County, to review agenda and schudule for joint meeting with
other local governments.
O Letter to John C. Randolph, Village Attorney, Regarding
Request for Amendments to R-lA Zoning District.
O Letter to Raymond Manning of Fanning/Howey Associates, Inc.,
Regarding Village of Tequesta Population Projections.
O Letter to John C. Randolph, Esq., Village Attorney, Regarding
Tequesta Landscape Ordinance No. 377; Tequesta Gardens.
O Memorandum to All Village Employees Regarding FY 1994 COLA and "
Group Health Insurance Rates.
O Memorandum to Sergeant Morrill and Sergeant Ricciardi
Regarding an Addendum to the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
O Letter to Michael Whelan, Esq., Regarding Addendun to Tequesta
and FOP Collective Bargaining Agreement.
