Bradford, Village Manager DATE: October 7, 1993 SUBJECT Resolution Supportinq Florida Atlantic University Campus on Donald Ross Road; Aqenda Item The Village recently received the attached correspondence from the Town of Jupiter. The Jupiter Town Council adopted the attached Resolution urging the Village of Tequesta, among others, to adopt a similar resolution. Resolution No. 2-93/94 expresses Village Council support for the development of a proposed Northern Palm Beach County Campus of Florida Atlantic University in the area north of Donald Ross Road and west of Military Trail. This is the area being proposed for the Braves Stadium, FAU Campus and other developments by George DiGuardiola. Having an FAU Campus in North Palm Beach County is very desirable. I see no negative imacts by virtue of locating the Campus at the Donald Ross Road site. Therefore, it is recommended that the Village Council adopt this Resolution expressing support for the same, as requested by the Town of Jupiter.
