RE: Board of Adjustment Appointment; Agenda Item
The Village Council needs to consider an appointment to the Board
of Adjustment as the term of one of its regular members, Ray
Schauer, is about to expire. The membership of the Board of
Adjustment is as follows: .

The Department of Community Development has contacted Ray Schauer
and he has indicated a willingness to continue serving in his
current capacity as a regular member of the Board of Adjustment.
Therefore, it is recommended that the Village Council reappoint Mr.
Schauer to a three year term as a regular member to the Board of
Adjustment expiring on December 13, 1996. Copies of applications
for the Board of Adjustment by other persons are attached for your
review.

The Board shall consist of five regular members appoin the Viilage
Council who shall serve without compensation and for a term of three years.
In addition to the regular Board Members, two additional members, to be
designated as Aiternate No. 1 and Alternate No. 2, shall be appointed to
serve in that order at meetings of the Board when necessary for any reason
and to have at all times three voting members on said Board as a quorum.
Alternate members shail be appointed for two year terms. Members of the
Board may be removed from office by the Village Councii upon written charges
and after pubiic hearing.
