SPECIAL VILLAGE COUNCIL MEETING
PURSUANT TO SECTION 286.011(08), FLORIDA STATUTES
250 TEQUESTA DRIVE, SUITE 300
THURSDAY, MARCH 21, 2002
I. CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL
The Village Council of the Village of Tequesta held a Special Village Council
meeting on Thursday, March 21, 2002. Mayor Genco called the meeting to order
at 5:02 p.m., and Acting Village Clerk Betty Laur called the roll. MEMBERS
PRESENT: Councilmember Russell J. von Frank, Councilmember Edward D.
Resnik, Mayor Geraldine A. Genco, Vice Mayor Joseph N. Capretta, and
Councilmember Basil E. Dalack. ALSO PRESENT: Village Manager Michael
• R. Couzzo, Jr., Village Attorney John C. Randolph, Acting Village Clerk Betty
Laur, and Certified Court Reporter Jane Pastore.
II. APPROVAL OF AGENDA
MOTION: Councilmember Von Frank moved to approve the agenda as submitted;
seconded by Councilmember Resnik. Motion carried 5-0.
IV. MAYOR ANNOUNCES:
A. Mayor Genco made the following announcement:
Pursuant to Section 286.011(8), Florida Statutes, the Village Council is
adjourning and commencing a closed door attorney client session for the
purpose of discussing settlement negotiations and/or strategy relating to
litigation expenses in the case of JMZ Tequesta Properties, Inc. vs Village
of Tequesta, Case No. CA 01-11262 AJ, Fifteenth Judicial Circuit, Palm
Beach County, Florida.
B. Mayor Genco made the following statement:

• C. Mayor Genco announced that those persons attending the Session were:
Mayor Geraldine A. Genco, Vice Mayor Joseph N. Capretta,
Councilmember Basil E. Dalack, Councilmember Edward D. Resnik,
Councilmember Russell J. von Frank, Village Manager Michael R.
Couzzo, Jr., Village Attorney John C. Randolph, and Certified Court
Reporter Jane Pastore.
D. Attendees Retire to Attorney Client Session
The attendees therefore retired to the Attorney Client Session at 5:04 p.m.
V. RECONVENE COUNCIL. MEETING
The meeting reconvened at 6:30 p.m.
VI. ANY OTHER MATTERS
There were no other matters to come before the Village Council.
VII. ADJOURNMENT
• MOTION: Councilmember Dalack moved that the meeting be adjourned; seconded by
Vice Mayor Capretta. Motion carried S-0. The meeting was therefore adjourned at 6:31
p. m.
