IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING OPENING OF REGULAR VILLAGE COUNCIL
MEETING AT 7:00 P.M.

WELCOME!
I. CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL
The Village Council of the Village of Tequesta sat as the Local Planning Agency
on March 14, 2002. Mayor Genco called the meeting to order at 10:43 p.m., and
Village Clerk Wolcott called the roll. MEMBERS PRESENT: Member Russell
J. von Frank, Member Edward D. Resnik, Chair Geraldine A. Genco, Vice Chair
Joseph N. Capretta, and Member Basil E. Dalack. ALSO PRESENT: Village
Manager Michael R. Couzzo, Jr., Village Attorney John C. Randolph, Village
Clerk Mary Wolcott, and Department Heads.
II. APPROVAL OF AGENDA
MOTION: Member von Frank moved to approve the Agenda, Member Dalack
seconded; motion carried S-0.
III. HEARINGS
A. ORDINANCE NO. 568-PLANNING AGENCY HEARING-
AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE
VII,LAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE
ADOPTED VILLAGE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN, PURSUANT
TO CHAPTER 163, FLORIDA STATUTES, AND CHAPTERS
9J-5 AND 9J-11, FLORIDA ADMINISTRATIVE CODE,
APPLYING A RESIDENTIAL LOW DENSITY LAND USE
CLASSIFICATION TO A PORTION OF REAL PROPERTY
LOCATED NORTH OF RIVERSIDE DRIVE, WEST OF AND
ADJACENT TO A 15.23 ACRE PARCEL REFERRED TO AS
THE ROOD PROPERTY CONTAINING APPROXIMATELY

• 0.29 ACRES, PROVIDING FOR A REVISION TO THE
• VILLAGE'S FUTURE LAND USE MAP; PROVIDING FOR
CODIFICATION, SEVERABII.,ITY, AN EFFECTIVE DATE,
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
1. Chair Genco announced the Local Planning Agency
(LPA) Meeting was open.
2. Jack Horniman, JLH Associates stated the two items in
front of them are for the Comprehensive Plan amendments
for small scale (under 10 acres). The LPA is to review and
make a recommendation to the Village Council. The first
represents a small scale amendment, the Morgan Property,
a .29 acre adjacent to the recent Rood Property annexation,
to extend the Willow Glen Development.

5. Chair Genco announced the LPA was closed

6. Recommendation
• MOTION: Member von Frank moved to recommend to the
Council to adopt Ordinance No. 568, seconded by Member Resnik;
motion carried 5-0.
B. ORDINANCE NO. 569-PLANNING AGENCY HEARING-AN
ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
TEQUESTA, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE ADOPTED
VILLAGECOMPREHENSIVE PLAN, PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 163,
FLORIDA STATUTES, AND CHAPTERS 9J-5 AND 9J-11, FLORIDA
ADMINISTRATIVE CODE, APPLYING A RESIDENTIAL LOW
DENSITY LAND USE CLASSIFICATION TO A PORTION OF REAL
PROPERTY LOCATED ON THE NORTH SIDE OF RIVERSIDE
DRIVE, WEST OF AND ADJACENT TO A 15.23 ACRE PARCEL
REFERRED TO AS THE ROOD PROPERTY, CONTAINING
APPROXIMATELY 0.34 ACRES, PROVIDING FOR A REVISION OF
THE VILLAGE'S FUTURE LAND USE MAP; PROVIDING FOR
CODIFICATION, SEVERABILITY, AN EFFECTIVE DATE, AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES
1. Chair Genco announced the LPA Hearing is open
2. Jack Horniman, JLH Associates stated the second parcel is
also going to be part of the Willow Glen Subdivision. This
parcel represents the Glendinning Property and is .34 acres
in size.

5. Chair Genco announced the LPA was closed

6. Recommendation
MOTION: Member von Frank moved to recommend to the
Council to adopt Ordinance No. 568, seconded by Member Resnik;
motion carried S-0.
IV. ADJOURN TO REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING
MOTION: Member Dalack moved to adjourn, seconded by Member Resnik;
motion carried S-0.
