OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA, DECLARING CERTAIN PROPERTY TO BE SURPLUS AND DIRECTING THE VILLAGE MANAGER TO DISPOSE OF SURPLUS PROPERTY IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE VII..LAGE'S A�DOPTED PROCEDURES FOR DISPOSING OF SURPLUS VILLAGE PROPERTY; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. WHEREAS, the Village Council of the Village of Tequesta, Florida, established procedures for disposing of surplus Village property; and WHEREAS, the Village of Tequesta owns a federally seized 1983 Scarab vessel; and WI�REAS, the property is to be sold at public auction with the proceeds of said auction to be deposited into an asset forfeiture account to be used for future law enforcement opera.tions and/or equipment as set forth in federal law, and WHEREAS, the Village Council declares the pmperty as des+cribed to be surplus property and directs the Village Manager to dispose of the surplus properry in accordance with the Village's adopted procedures; and WHEREAS, the Village finds that this Resolution will promote the health, safety and welfare of the Village. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1 Resolution No. 6-13: T'he Village Council of the Village of Tequesta, Florida, hereby declares the 1983 Scarab vessel to be surplus and directs the Village Manager to dispose nf the surplus property in a manner consistent with the Village's adopted procedures. Erichs C � �1(� Special Agent in Charg�am� SUBJECT: Request for Storage Cost Waiver 2012-�205-000019-01 The Special Agent in Charge (SAC), Miami, respectfully requests that the storage costs for seizure 2012-5205-000019-01 be waived. An equitable sharing request was submitted to the SAC Miami office requesting that a vessel and trailer be given to the Tequesta Police Department. The combined storage costs for both items have now exceeded the $5,000 n maximum amount that can be approved at the SAC level. The total storage costs are estimated to be $5,811.] 6 for the vessel and trailer if they are released on or before March 3, 2013. Your timely review and approval of this reyuest would be greatly appreciated in order to avoid further accumulation of storage costs on these items. Tequesta Police Department is prepared to take possession of the vessel and trailer immediately upon approval.
