A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
TEQUESTA, FLORIDA, ADOPTING A FEE SSCHEULE FOR FEES AND
CHARGES PROVIDED FOR IN CHAPTER 4. ALARMS. OF THE VILLAGE
CODE OF ORDINANCES; PROVIDING FEES FOR EXCESSIVE ALARMS AND
FOR OPERATING AN ALARM IN VIOLATION OF THE ALARM USER'S
PERMIT; AND REPEALING FEES FOR INITIAL ALARM PERMIT
APPLICATIONS; PROVIDING THAT THAT THIS SCHEDULE OF FEES AND
CHARGES SHALL BE AVAILABLE FOR INSPECTION AT ALL TIMES AT
THE VILLAGE HALL DURING REGULAR BUSINESS HOURS; PROVIDING
FOR REPEAL OF ALL RESOLUTIONS AND FEE SCHEDULES IN CONFLICT,
INCLUDING RESOLUTION 20- 07/08; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE;
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the Village Council of the Village of Tequesta, Florida, desires to adopt a fee
schedule for all fees and charges associated with Chapter 4. Alarms of the Village Code of
Ordinances; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council desires to repeal fees associated with the initial application
for an alarm permit, and further repeal all previously adopted fee schedules and resolutions in
conflict with this resolution; and '
WHEREAS, the Village Council desires to make certain the schedule of fees and charges is
available for inspection such that any member of the public may be aware of the fees and charges
associated with alarms and alarm permits in the Village.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: The Village Council of the Village of Tequesta, Florida, hereby adopts the
Schedule of Fees and Charges attached hereto as Exhibit A and made part hereof as if fully set forth
herein.
Section 2: All previously adopted resolutions and fee schedules pertaining to alarms and
alarm permits in the Village, including fees associated with initial application for an alarm permit are
hereby repealed. Resolution 20 -07/08 is hereby repealed.
Section 3: This duly adopted Schedule of Fees and Charges shall be available at the
Village Hall for inspection by the public during normal business hours.
Section 4: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
EXHIBIT A
Fees and Charges pursuant to Chapter 4. Alarms. of the Village Code of Ordinances
1. Service Charge for Excessive Class B Alarms pursuant to Sec. 4 -5 and 4 -27 shall be $25.00
for the first two excessive alarms and $50.00 for each excessive alarm thereafter. Excessive
Class B alarms shall begin with the fourth Class B alarm in any 12 month period.
2. Alarm permits required by Sec. 4 -22 shall be no fee permits.
3. Fines for operating an alarm in violation of the alarm user's permit pursuant to Sec. 4 -27
shall be $25.00 per alarm.
The foregoing Resolution was offered by Council Member Paterno who moved its adoption.
The motion was seconded by Council Member Okun and upon being put to a vote, the vote was
as follows:
