HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance_277_01/08/1979x-/ ~ ~ u ORDINANCE NO. 2~7 AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA, ~' AMENDING THE ADOPTED COMPREHENSIVE PLAN OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA. ', WHEREAS, The Village Council of the Village of Tequesta, j; Florida, on July 24, 1979, adopted Ordinance 271 an ordinance adopting pursuant to law a comprehensive plan for the Village, and WHEREAS, subsequent to adoption of the comprehensive plan certain amendments were proposed to the land use element of that plan, and WHEREAS, the Village Council pursuant to Chapter 163.3187 of the Florida Statutes has considered the proposed amendments to the land use plan after duly advertising same and holding public .hearings pursuant to law, and WHEREAS, the Village Council deems it to be in the best interest of the general welfare of the citizens of the Village of ',Tequesta to adopt said amendments to the Comprehensive Plan of the !Village of Tequesta; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The Comprehensive Plan of the Village of Tequesta, Florida, is hereby amended by amending the land use element of same as follows: a. Provide for a Land Use of High Density ' (13+ Dwelling Units per acre) for the ' South 67 feet of Lot 186 Gomez Grant, on Jupiter Island, according to the Plat thereof on file in the office of ~' the Clerk of the Circuit Court, in and for Palm Beach County, Florida, recorded in Plat Book 1, page 80. Together with all riparian and/or littoral rights thereto appertaining (this property is also known as Cunningham Court according C to the plat thereof on file in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court, in and for Palm Beach County, Florida, recorded in Plat Book 36, page 67, Public Records of Palm Beach County, Florida) b. Provide for a Land Use of High Density (13+ Dwelling Units per acre) for the North 100 feet of Lot 187 (less SR 707 right-of-way) Gomez Grant as in condo- minium declaration, Official Record Book 1664, page 763. y ~ • • ~ c. Changing the present Land Use of Lots 2 and 3, Block 2, Section "C", Jupiter in the Pines, (Portion of Executive Building Property, 308 Tequesta Drive) from Light Industry to Commercial. Section 2. This amendment shall have the same legal status of the original comprehensive plan as set forth in Chapter 163.3194 of the Florida Statutes. Section 3. Permission to codify this Ordinance is hereby granted. Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its adoption. The foregoing Ordinance was offered by Councilmember W, Harvey Mapes, Jr,. who moved its adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilmember Leslie A, Cook and upon being put to a vote, the vote was as follows: FOR ADOPTION Howard F. Brown Leslie A, Cook W. Harvev Mayes, Jr. James H, Ryan Joseph D, Yoder, Jr. AGAINST ADOPTION The Mayor thereupon declared the Ordinance duly passed and adopted on this $ day of January A.D., 1979.
