ORDINANCE NO. 270
AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF
TEQUESTA, FLORIDA, DECLARING
THE INTENT OF THE VILLAGE TO
PLAN ~aITHIN ITS MUNICIPAL
BOUNDARIES AS REQUIRED BY THE
LOCAL GOVERNMENT COMPRENHENSIVE
PLANNING ACT OF 1975.
tn1HEREAS, by substantial majorities of both Houses
of the Florida Legislature, the Local Government Comprehensive
Planning Act (LGCPA) of 1975, was adopted on May 30, 1975;
and
WHEREAS, the Act further requires that all units of
local government must prepare and adopt a Comprehensive Plan
as per requirements of the LGCPA; and
WHEREAS, the Act further requires that all units of
local government adopt an appropriate ordinance declaring the
intent of the local government to exercise authority of the
Act to plan for the total area under its jurisdiction;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL
OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQiJESTA, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOUIS
The Village Council hereby declares its intent to
exercise its authority to plan for the area under its juris-
diction as granted by the Local Government Comprehensive
Planning Act of 1975.
The foregoing Ordinance was offered by Council Member
James H, Ryan who moved its adoption. The motion was
seconded by Council Member _Tc,c~,h P_ Yorier, .T r. and upon being
put to a vote, the vote was as follows:

The Mayor thereupon declared the Ordinance duly
passed and adopted this _1~ day of June A.D.,
1979.
