HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance_269_02/13/1979~' ~ : • ORDINANCE NO. 2~9 • AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA ANNEXING CERTAIN PARCELS OF LAND TO THE TERRITORIAL LIMITS OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA WHEREAS, Subsection 29 of Section 4.02 of Article IV of the Charter of the Village of Tequesta grants the Village Council the power to annex any lands adjoining or within three miles of the territorial boundaries of said municipality and lying within the "natural boundaries" of said municipality upon the petition of the owner or owners thereof; and WHEREAS, Thomas H. Daly and Virginia W. Daly and Daniel A. DeNicola, the owners of certain parcels of land situated in Palm Beach County, Florida, have filed petitions with the Village Council requesting that their lands described therein be annexed to the territorial limits of the Village of Tequesta, Florida: NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the parcel of land owned by Thomas H. Daly and Virginia W. Daly and more particularly described as follows: The North 100 feet of the South 300 feet of Government Lot 1 lying West of and contiguous to the West right-of-way line of U.S. Highway No. 1, Section 30, Township 40 South, Range 43 East, Palm Beach County, Florida, less the North 35 feet thereof; and Section 2. That the parcel of land owned by Daniel A. DeNicola and more particularly described as follows: That part of the South 200 feet of Government Lot No. 1, in Section 30, Township 40 South, Range 43 East, Palm Beach County, Florida, which lies West of the right-of-way of U.S. Highway No. 1. are hereby annexed and incorporated into the Village of Tequesta, Florida, with the same force and effect as though the same had originally been incorporated into the territorial boundaries thereof. ~ • Section 3. That said lands shall be subject to all of the ordinances, regulations and codes of the Village of Tequesta. Section 4. That this Ordinance shall take effect upon its approval and passage as provided by law. THE FOREGOING ORDINANCE was offered by Councilmember I"~r-~=`t. who moved its adoption.
