ORDINANCE N0. 257
APd ORDINANCE OF T~~ VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA,
FLORIDA, ANNEXING CERTAI'tJ PARCELS OF LAND
TO THE TERRITORIAL LIMITS OF THE VILLAGE
OF TEQUESTA WITH AN R-1,~ ZONING CLASSIFI-
CATION.
WHEREAS, Subsection 29 of Section 4.02 of Article IV of the Charter
of the Village of Tequesta grants the Village Council the power to annex any
lands adjoining or within three (3) miles of the territorial boundaries and
lying within the "natural boundaries" of said municipality upon petition of the
owner or owners thereof ; and
WHEREAS, Northwestern Mutual Life Mortgage and Realty Investors, the
downers of a certain parcel of land situate in Palm Beach County, Florida, have
filed a petition dated October 5, 1977 (copy attached to and made apart of this
(Ordinance), with the Village Council requesting that the lands described therein
be annexed to the territorial limits of the Village of Tequesta, Florida, under
t}Ze R-1~, Single Family Dwelling District Classification;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF TEQUESTA,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the parcel of land herein above mentioned is mcl•f.
particularly described on Exhibit A attached hereto and is hereby annexed and
incorporated into the Village of Tequesta, Florida, with the same force and ef-
fect as though t}ie same had originally been incorporated into the territorial
boundaries thereof.
Section 2. That the land described in Section 1 of this Ordinance is
'hereby zoned R-l~, Single Family Dwelling District Classification and the Zoning
Ordinance of the Village of Tequesta, being Ordinance No. 211 as amended, and
the zoning map thereunder, be, and the same are hereby amended with regard to
ExlZibit A attached hereto.
Section 3. T}iat said lands shall be subject to all of the ordinances,
regulations and codes of the Village of Tequesta.
Section 4. That this Ordinance shall take effect upon its approval
and passage as provided by law.

The foregoing Ordinance was offered by Councilmember
W. Harvey Mapes ,who moved its adoption. The motion
was seconded by Councilmember Stephen Hu~~ins and upon
being put to a vote, the vote was as follows:
