HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance_252_07/14/1977`. • ORDINANCE N0. 2S~ AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 240 OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, WHICH ORDINANCE AMENDED ORDINANCE N0. 134 ESTABLISHING A SCHEDULE OF WATER RATES FOR THE OPERATION OF THE WATER DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM OF THE VILLAGE SO AS TO PROVIDE A REDUCED CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT CHARGE FOR APPLICANTS WHICH HAVE APPLIED FOR NEW SERVICE CONNECTIONS PURSUANT TO ORDINANCE N0. 219; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAIATED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF If TEQUESTA, FLORIDA: Section 1. Ordinance No. 240 of the Village of Tequesta, ;Florida, is hereby amended at Section 1 (F) so as to read as follows: "F. Capital Improvement Charge: Each new connection to the water system, after the effective date of this Ordinance, shall pay a capital improvement charge of $400 for each 5/8" x 3/4" meter, or equivalent thereof, at the time of the application for a new connection. Such payments shall go into a capital improvement fund, which shall be a separate fund to be used for capital improvements to the water system or for payment of debt service on the Water Revenue Certificates, Series 1976, or subsequent issues. Applicants which have applied for new service connections pursuant to Ordinance No. 219 and which connect to the water system on or before Jelly 1, 1978, shall pay a capital improvement charge of $200 for each 5/8" x 3/4" meter or the equivalent thereof. In the event that the applicant fails to connect to a water system by '"~ that date, the rates and charges set forth in the above paragraph shall apply. Section 2. The remaining provisions of Ordinance No. 240 shall remain in full force and effect and are hereby ratified and confirmed. Section 3. All Ordinances and Sections thereof in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its passage and approval as provided by law.
