Gazlo, Assistant Manager/Human Resource Director "E lo ee o the uarter" Second uarter 20Q T'he Village has recently implememed an Awazds and Recognition Program to include an Employee of the Quarter Awazd. The Award's Committee convened on Mazch 5, 2004, and unanunously selected Michelle McDowell as the first recipient of that award for the second quarter of 200A�. Michelle McDowell has been employed with the Village Finance Department since �ctdber 31, 2001, and holds the job classificatian of Accounting Clerk II. In that classification, Micheile's primary responsibilities are to function as the Village's Payroll Specialist and also to assist in the budget process. Besides these demanding responsibilfties, Michelle has accomplished several challenging goals during the past year. Just a few of her accomplishm�nts aze to have successfully mitigated some outstanding IRS discrepancies requiring eatensive investigation, she migrated the duties of accounts payable and purchase orders from herself to Tresha Thomas while continuing to "trouble shoot" any complex problems in these areas allowing Tresha time to become more familiaz with the Village procedures and software programs and she is working to upgrade the payroll software tying this system directly into the General Ledger, this will allow the Village to realize a significant savings in time and an increase in efficiency. Besides these impressive achievements, Michelle is an individual who consistently makes that extr� effart to provide support and assist all Village employees. She's widely recognized by her co-workers, Department Heads and other members as the person to "go to" to get results as she is always witling to help. Michelle is extremely deserving of this award, as she is an invaluable asset to the Fitlance Department, manifesting the highest degree af professionalism, dedication, skill and productivity.
