CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL The Village of Tequesta Planning & Zoning Advisory Board held a regularly scheduled meeting at the Tequesta Village Hall, 345 Tequesta Drive, Tequesta, Florida, on Thursday, August 15, 2013. The meeting was called to order at 5:29 p.m. A roll call was taken by Assistant Community Development Director Joanne Burnsed, who noted the following were present: Chair James Hackett, Vice Chair Michael Schmidt, Board Member Elizabeth Schauer, Board Member Steven Eagen, and Board Member J�net Strand. Also present were Alternate Ashley Warren, Community Development Director Nilsa Zacarias and Village Attorney Keith Davis. Alternate Sebastian Loaiza arrived at 5:39 p.m. 2. APPROVAL OF AGENDA MOTION Board Member Schauer moved to approve the agenda as submitted. Vice Chair Schmidt seconded the motion, which carried by unanimous 5-0 vote. 3. APPROVAL OF PREVIOUS MEETING MINUTES MOTION Board Member Schauer moved tv approve the minutes of the June 20, 2013 meeting and July 18, 2013 meeting as submitted. Board Member Eagen seconded the motion, which carried by unanimous 5-0 vote. The Village Attorney announced this was a quasi-judicial hearing and swore in all those intending to offer testimony in either of the cases on tonight's agenda. Each member of the Board stated no exparte communication. Alternate Sebastian Loaiza arrived at this point in the meeting at 5:39 p.m. 4. SPR 04-13 Application of Tequesta Vet Clinic to modify the front (east side) building color. The address of the proposed application is 365 Cypress Drive, Tequesta. Chair Hackett read application SPR 04-13 into the record. Community Development Director Zacarias commented on the application. Planning � Zoning Advisory Board MEETING MINUTES August 15, 2013 Page 2 of 3 The applicant, Dr. Joi Sutton, explained she wanted a little splash of color so people would notice her business. The posts would remain brown, and the other side would be beige. She felt the coral color would complement the other bold colors across the street. The members of the Board discussed their color preferences. Village Attorney Davis read from the Code regarding color. Chair Hackett indicated the Juicy Passion color was the problem. A suggestion was made to paint just the diagonal boards. Discussion ensued regarding how to modify the proposed Juicy Passion color. MOTION Board Member Schauer moved to approve Application SPR 04-13 for Tequesta Vet Clinic as modified to recommend a color application to the diagonal boarding fa�ade with a lighter color than Juicy Passion with more earth tones, to have final approval by Community Development Director Zacarias; the trim is to be /eft as is the stone is to be painted white. Board Member Eagen seconded the motion, which carried by unanimous 5-0 vote. 4. SPR 05-13 Apptication of Tequesta Gardens Condominium Association to modify the exterior building color by changing the accent trim color on all buildings. The Association address is 10 Wesfinrood Avenue, Tequesta. Chair Hackett read Application SPR 05-13 into the record. Community Development Director Zacarias commented on the application. MOTION Board Member Schauer moved to approve Application SPR Q5-13 for Tequesta Gardens Condominium as submitted. Board Member Eagen seconded the motion, which carried by unanimous 5-0 vote. 5. PUBLIC COMMENT - None 6. BOARD COMMENT Board Member Hackett urged the Board members to go see the sites of applications. ADJOURNIV�ENT There b�ing no further business to come before the Board, upon motion by Board Member Sehauer, s�conded by Vice Chair Schmidt and carried by unanimous 5-0 vote, the meeting was adjourned at 6:15 p. m.
