HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance_167_04/21/1970 • • ORDINANCE N0. ]f,7 AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA, ANNEXING CERTAIN LANDS TO THE TERRITORIAL LIMITS OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA. WHEREAS, sub-section (29) of Section 3 of ARTICLE V of the Charter of the Village of Tequesta grants the Village Council the power to annex any lands adjoining or within three miles of the territorial boundaries of said municipality upon the petition of the owner or owners thereof; and WHEREAS, LOUISE F. ROBINSON, the owner of certain parcels of land situated in Palm Beach County, Florida, has filed a petition with the Village Council requesting that the land described therein be annexed to the territorial limits of the Village of Tequesta; NOW, THERE FORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows: Section 1. That the parcels of land, owned by the said LOUISE F. ROBINSON, being as follows: A. A parcel of land in Government Lot 3, SECTION 36, TOWNSHIP 40 SOUTH, RANGE 42 EAST. PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, more particularly described as follows: Commencing at an iron pipe near the shore of the NW fork of the Loxahatchee River (formerly known as Jupiter River) and in the SE'ly boundary line of Lot 16, Block C, Jupiter Manors, Sec. 1, Sheet 4, as recorded in Plat Book 12, page 38, • • Palm Beach County Public Records, thence N. 45° 34' E. (assumed bearing; all others given are relative thereto) along the SE'ly line of said Lot 16, 6' to an iron pipe; thence N. 45° 34' E., 407.2' to a point; thence N. 48° l2' E., 30.34' to a point; thence N. 49° 31' W., 607.8' to the beginning of a curve concave to the East and having a radius of 1175'; thence NW'ly along the arc of said curve, 33.41' to a point; thence N. 58° 45' E., 162.9' to a point to be designated as POINT "X". From said POINT "X" run N. 3l° 15' W., 70' to the Point of Beginning (POB). From the Point of Beginning run ~. 58° 45' W., 12.67' to a point; thence run N. 25° Ol' 36" W., 20' to a point; thence run S. 58° 45' W., 147', more or less, to the NE'ly Right-of-Way line of Rio Vista Drive, as shown on the plat of Jupiter Manors Subdivision, Plat Book 12, page 38, Palm Beach County Public Records; thence run SE'ly along said Right-of-Way line of Rio Vista Drive, 92.9', more or less, to a point on a line bearing S. 58° 45' W. from the above described POINT "X"; thence run N. 58° 45' E., 137.5', more or less, to a point (POINT "X"); thence run N. 31° 15' W., 70' to the POINT OF BEGINNING. From the POB run N. 58° 45' E., 12.67'; thence N.25° Ol' 36" W., 56'; thence, N. 68° 28' E., 126' more or less to the waters of the Loxahatchee River; thence SE'ly along the waters of the Loxahatchee River 107', more or less to a point on a line bearing N. 58° 45' E., from Point "X"; thence S. 58° 45' W., 148.1' more or less to a point, thence N. 31° 15' W.70'to the POB. are hereby annexed and incorporated into the Village of Tequesta, and the same shall be and become a part of the Village of Tequesta, with the same force and effect as though the same had been ori- ginally incorporated into the territorial boundaries thereof. Section 2. That said parcels of land shall be subject to all of the ordinances, regulations and codes of said Village. RUNK, the owner of the parcels of land hereafter described, respectfully petitions that said parcels of land be incorporated into the territorial limits of the Village of Tequesta, Florida, said parcels being described as follows: A.
