HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance_165_01/20/1970 ORDINANCE N0. 165 AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA, AMENDING ORDINANCE N0. 43 AND THE ZONING MAP THEREUNDER TO CHANGE THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF A PARCEL OF LAND OWNED BY S, S. & R. INC. WHEREAS, the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Tequesta, Florida, being Ordinance No. 43, may be amended from time to time on its own motion or on petition, after public hearing, by the Village Council of the Village of Tequesta, Florida; and WHEREAS, upon petition of S. S. & R. INC, to amend said Ordinance and the zoning map thereunder to change the zoning classification of the property of the petitioner hereinafter described, from R-1 to R-3, public hearings were duly held on October 21, 1969 and January 13, 1970; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA: Section 1: That the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Tequesta, being Ordinance No. 43, and the zoning map thereunder, be, and the same is hereby, amended with regard to the following described property, to wit: Beginning at the point of intersection of the North line of Lot 197, Plat of Gomez Grant and Jupiter Island as same is recorded in Plat Book 1, page 80, public records of Palm Beach County, Florida, with the westerly right of way line of State Road 707 as same is recorded in Road Plat Book 2, pages 70, 71 and 72, public records of Palm Beach County, Florida, and .from said point of beginning running (for convenience the said North line of Lot 197 is assumed to bear South 89°57'03" East and all other bearings herein are relative thereto); thence North 89°57'03" West along the said North line of Lot 197 to the easterly waters of Jupiter Sound sometimes known as Hobe Sound; thence southerly along the said waters edge to a point on the northerly right of way line of said State Road 707; thence North 89°13'57" East along the said northerly right of way line to the beginning of a curve concave to the north- west having a radius of 237.94 feet and a central angle of 104°59'00"; thence easterly, northeasterly and northerly along the arc of said curve and along the northerly and northwesterly right of way of State Road 707 subtending an angle of 83°00'54" a distance of 344.75 -~• ,. to change the zoning classification of said property from R-1 to feet, more or less, to the point of beginning, together with riparian and littoral rights. The above parcel is also described as all that portion of Lot 197, Plat of Gomez Grant and Jupiter Island as same is recorded in Plat Book 1, page 80, public records of Palm Beach County, Florida, lying North and West of the right of way of State Road 707, as said right of way is recorded in Road Plat Book 2, pages 70, 71 and 72, public records of Palm Beach County, Florida. R- 3 . Section 2: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict be, and the same are hereby, repealed. Section 3: That this Ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and approval, as provided by law.
