ORDINANCE N0. 15?
AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA,
FLORIDA, ANNEXING CERTAIN PARCELS OF LAND
IN THE NORTHWEST QUARTER OF THE NORTHWEST
QUARTER, OF SECTION 30, TOWNSHIP 40 SOUTH,
RANGE 43 EAST, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA,
TO THE TERRITORIAL LIMITS OF THE VILLAGE
OF TEQUESTA.
WHEREAS, sub-section (20) of Section 3 of ARTICLE V, of
the Charter of the Village of Tequesta grants the Village Council
the power to annex any lands adjoining or within three miles of
the territorial boundaries of said municipality upon the petition
of the owner or owners thereof; and
WHEREAS, PALM BEACH CABLE TELEVISION COMPANY, a Florida
corporation, the owner of a certain parcel of land situated in
Palm Beach County, Florida, has filed a petition with the Village
Council requesting that the land described therein be annexed to
the territorial limits of the Village of Tequesta; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Tequesta, Florida, has acquired
title to a certain parcel of land situated in Palm Beach County,
Florida, and the Village Council deems it to the best interests
of the Village that the same be annexed to the territorial limits
of the Village;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF
THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows:
Section 1. That the following described parcels of land,
situate, lying and being in Palm Beach County, Florida, to wit:
Parcel_ A _
A parcel of land in the Northwest Quarter of the North-
west Quarter of Section 30, Township 40 South, Range
43 East, Palm Beach County, Florida, being more parti-
cularly described as follows:
All that part of the South 600.79 feet (measured at
right angles to the South line thereof) of the North-
west Quarter (NW-1/4) of the Northwest Quarter (NW-1/4)
of Section 30, Township 40 South, Range 43 East, Palm
Beach County, Florida, lying East of the Easterly R/W
Line of Old Dixie Highway, said Easterly R/W Line of
Old Dixie Highway being parallel with and 30 feet Easterly
from (when measured at right angles to) the Easterly
R/W line of the F.E.C. Railway, less the North 339.76
feet lying West of a line perpendicular to the North
line thereof and 500.00 feet Westerly from the North-
east corner of the herein described Parcel of Land,
being subject to any and all Easements and/or Rights
of Way of record.
Parcel B.
A parcel of land in the Northwest Quarter of the North-
west Quarter of Section 30, Township 40 South, Range
43 East, Palm Beach County, Florida, being more parti-
cularly described as follows:
All that part of North 339.76 feet of the South 600.79
feet (measured at right angles to the South line thereof)
of the Northwest Quarter (NW-1/4) of the Northwest
Quarter (NW-1/4) of Section 30, Township 40 South, Range
43 East, Palm Beach County, Florida, lying East of the
Easterly R/W Line of Old Dixie Highway, said Easterly R/W
Line of Old Dixie being parallel with and 30 feet Easterly
from (when measured at right angles to) the Easterly R/W
line of the F.E.C. Railway, less that portion of land
lying East of a line perpendicular to the North line
thereof and 500.00 feet Westerly from the Northeast
corner of the herein described Parcel of Land, being
subject to any and all Easements and/or Rights of Way
of record.
are hereby annexed and incorporated into the Village of Tequesta,
with the same force and effect as though the same had been origin-
ally incorporated into the territorial boundaries thereof.
Section 2. That said parcels of land shall be subject to
all of the ordinances, regulations and codes of said Village.

TO: VILLAGE COUNCIL OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA
PALM BEACH CABLE TELEVISION COMPANY, a Florida
corporation (Petitioner) files this petition and says:
1. By deed dated and delivered October 30, 1969,
immediately prior to the filing of this petition, Petitioner has
acquired from Village of Tequesta, Florida, fee simple title to
the following described property in the County of Palm Beach,
Florida:
A parcel of land in the Northwest Quarter of
the Northwest Quarter of Section 30, Township
40 South, Range 43 East, Palm Beach County,
Florida, being more particularly described as
follows:
All that part of the South 600.79 feet (measured
at right angles to the South line thereof) of
the Northwest Quarter (NW-1/4) of the Northwest
Quarter (NW-1/4) of Section 30, Township 40 South,
Range 43 East, Palm Beach County, Florida, lying
East of the Easterly R/W Line of Old Dixie Highway,
said Easterly R/W Line of Old Dixie Highway being
parallel with and 30 feet Easterly from (when
measured at right angles to) the Easterly R/W
line of F.E.C. Railway, less the North 339.76
feet lying West of a line perpendicular to the
North line thereof and 500.00 feet Westerly from
the Northeast corner of the herein described Parcel
of Land, being subject to any and all Easements
and/or Rights of Way of record.
2. The above-described land is within one (1) mile
of the boundaries of the Village of Tequesta, and Petitioner
requests that said land be annexed by the Village and become a
part thereof.
