HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance_144_03/28/1968a- ~ • • ORDINANCE N0. 144 -' AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORI DA, AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE, BEING ORDINANCE N0. 43, TO CHANGE THE OFF-STREET PARKING REGULATIONS RELATING TO C-1 AND C-2 DISTRICTS. WHEREAS, the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Tequesta, Florida, being Ordinance No. 43, may be amended from time to time on its own motion or on petition, after public hearing, by the Village Council of the Village of Tequesta, Florida; and WHEREAS, upon its own motion the Village Council duly called and held a public hearing on January 16, 1968 to consider changing off-street parking regulations in areas zoned C-1 and C-2; NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Village Council of the Village of Tequesta, Florida: Section l: That Section C. of Section 7 (C-l, Retail Commer- cial District) of the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Tequesta, Florida, be, and the same is hereby, amended to read as follows: 1. Churches: Same as for the R-2 One and Two Family District. 2. Hotels and Motels: One (1) space for each guest bedroom plus one (1) space for the resident manager. 3. Restaurant: One (1) space for each four (4) seats pro- vided for table or counter service. 4. Banks, Savings and Loan Associations, Business or Pro- fessional Offices, Including Doctors and Dentists: One (1) parking space, or three hundred (300) square feet of usable floor area, plus one (1) spaces for each three (3) employees. 5. Medical and Dental Clinics, Doctors and Dentists Offices: Five (5) spaces per doctor or dentist, based on the maximum design capacity of the facility or five (5) spaces for every four hundred (400) square feet of usable floor space, whichever is greater. 6. Mortuary or Funeral Parlors: Five (5) spaces per parlor or chapel unit, or one (1) space per four (4) seats, whichever is greater. 7. Retail Stores and Personal Service Establishments, except as otherwise specified herein: One (1) space per one hundred (100) square feet of retail floor area. ~~•: ,. .i • • Z 8. Shopping Centers Containing Five (5) or More Stores, or 15,000 Square Feet of Buildings: There shall be a ratio of four (4) square feet of parking (including driveway ingress, egress and circulation) to each one (1) square foot of retail floor space. 9. Auditoriums, Theatres and Places of Assembly: One (1) space for each four (4) seats. 10. Veterinary Establishments: Five (5) spaces per each veterinary, based upon the maximum design capacity of the facility, or five (5) spaces for every forty (40) square feet of usable floor space, whichever is greater. 11. Offices: One (1) space for each two hundred (200) square feet of floor area for office purposes. For the purposes of this ordinance, the term "OFF-STREET PARKING SPACE" shall consist of a minimum net area of two hundred (200) square feet of appropriate dimensions for the parking of an automobile, exclusive of access drives or aisles thereto. Section 2; Section 8 (C-2, Wholesale, Commercial and Private Industrial Districts) of the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Tequesta, Florida, be, and the same is hereby, amended to include the following section: C. OFF-STREET PARKING REGULATIONS: Off-street parking regulations in this district shall be the same as those in Section 7 C., as hereinabove amended, except that the parking requirements for wholesale, commercial, manufacturing and industrial concerns, in catering to the retail trade, shall be as follows: One (1) space for each four hundred (400) square feet of gross floor area. Two or more buildings or uses may collectively provide the required off-street parking, in which case the required number of parking spaces shall be not less than the sum of the requirements for the several individual uses computed separately. Section 3: Except as hereby amended, the provisions of the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Tequesta, Florida, and all previous amendments thereof, shall remain in full force and effect. Section 4: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be, and the same are hereby, repealed. - 2 - •~ • .~ ' ~ • Section 5: That this ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and approval as provided below.
