HomeMy WebLinkAboutDocumentation_Workshop_Tab 05_10/07/2013 SECOND MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING THIS SECOND MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING is made this day of October, 2013 between the Village of Tequesta, a municipal corporation with offices located at 345 Tequesta Drive, Tequesta, Florida 33469, herein referr� to as the VII.,LA,GE; and Michael R. Couzzo, Jr., an individual, herein referred to as COUZZO; hereinafter collectively referred to as the PART'IES. Where�s, the PARTTES have previously entered into a"Second Employment Agreement" which provides for, among other things, an annual4% salary increase for COUZZO as well as an annual rev�ew for Performance Reco�nition Compensation for COUZZO; and Wi�ereas, COUZZO previously advised the VII,LAGE of his desire to forego both the annual4% salary increase and any consideration for Performance Recognition Compensation for the 2013-2014 contract year; and Whereas, the VILLAGE did not object to COUZZO's reyuest to forego both the annual 4% salary increase and any consideration for Performance Recognition Compensation for the 2013-2014 contract year and desines to effectuate same, and by a Memorandum of Understanding effective June, 2013, unplemented same; and Wheneas, the VILLAGE has given all its other employees a onetime $3,004.00 allowance azd desires to re-institute COUZZO'S ability to receive Performance Recognitian Compensation for the 2013- 2014 contract year in the amount of $3,000.00, pursuant to the "Second Employment Agreement"; and Whereas, COUZZ� agrees to such provision. Now Therefore, in consideration of the mutual covenants contained herein, the receipt and sufficiency of which are hereby acknowledged, the VILLAGE and COUZZO agrce as follaws: l. For the 2013-2014 contract year, COUZZO will continue to forego both annual 4% salary increase pursuant to the June 2013 Memorandum of Understanding, however, for the 2013-2014 contract year, COUZZO will receive Performance Recognition Compensation as provided for in the Second Employment Agreement between the PARTIES in the amount of $3,000.00. 2. In all other respects, the Second Employment Agreement shall continue uninterrupted as previously agreed and executed by the PAR'TIES. 3. This Second Memorandum of Understanding shall have no force or effect on any term or condition contained in the Second Employment Agreement in any subsequent contract year.
