ORDINANCE N0. 126
AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA,
FLORIDA, REGULATING THE USE OF TRACK MOTOR
CARS, HANDCARS, OR OTHER VEHICLES ON RAIL-
ROAD TRACKS; REQUIRING THAT SUCH MOTOR
VEHICLES STOP AT RAILWAY CROSSINGS WITHIN
THE VILLAGE; AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTY IN
VIOLATION THEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. Every track motor car, handcar or other
vehicle so constructed as to be incapable of activating automatic
safety gates and automatic crossing signal devices operating
upon railroad tracks shall stop at every railroad crossing within
the village where a village street intersects a railroad track
at grade level and shall yield the right of way to traffic travel-
ing along such intersecting street and shall not proceed across
such intersection until the movement can be made with reasonable

Section 2.~ Any person convicted of violation of this
ordinance shall be punished as provided in Section 10 of Ordinance
No. 1.
Section 3. All ordinances and sections thereof in con-
flict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately
upon its passage and approval as provided by law.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF 'IEQUESTA,
FLORIDA, AMENDING SECTION 1 OF ORDINANCE
126 TO ELIMINATE THE REQUIREMENT OF VEHICLES
STOPPING AT RAILROAD CROSSINGS WITHIN THE
VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF 'rEQUESTA,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. That Section 1 of Ordinance 126 of the
Village of Tequesta, be, and the same is hereby, amended to read
as follows:
"Section 1. Every track motor car, hand car or other
vehicle so constructed as to be incapable of activating automatic
safety gates and automatic crossing signal devices operating upon
railroad tracks, shall yield the right of way at every railroad
crossing within the Village, where a Village street intersects
a railroad track at grade level, to traffic traveling along such

tion until the movement can be made with reasonable safety."
Section 2. That except as hereinabove modified, said
Ordinance No. 126 shall remain as originally passed and adopted.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect imme-
diately upon passage and approval as provided by law.
