* MEMORANDUM

TO: MARY MII.,ES, VII.,LAGE CLERK
FROM: RUSSELL K. WHITE, PUBLIC SERVICES MANAGER
RE: TEQUESTA COUNTRY CLUB DRAINAGE IlVIPROVEMENTS
DATE: MAY 5, 2004
The improvements slated for the above referenced pertain to bank stabilization of the
pond located on the 18' hole in the Tequesta Country club.
It is the Stormwater Divisions responsibility to mairrta.in the integrity of these ponds since
we use them for storage and aquifer recharging.
To insure capacity, and elimina.te unwanted channeling of the banks, we are going to
exca.vate soil from the pond and place it on the banks, essentially rebuilding the slope of
the bank and increasing the capacity of the pond, which will give us more storage during
rain events.
The extent of the Stormwater work is only bank restoration, the Country Club will be
sodding and irrigating the area once we are finished rebuilding the bank.

Mr. Mike Couzzo, Village Manager
Village of Tequesta
Post Office Box 3273
250 Tequesta Dr. , Ste 300
Tequesta, FL 33469
Dear Mr. Couzzo:
The Ponds on the #18 and #6 Fairways at Tequesta Country Club have substantial
erosion and we would appreciate very much the Village of Tequesta stabilizing the washed out
areas. Tequesta Country Club would, of course, furnish and install the sod upon completion
of the stabilization. Along with stabilizing the area, the benefit would be that the material
could be pulled from the pond thus making the pond deeper.
We appreciate your consideration of this request and thank you for your cooperation.
Sincerely,
t a , j
