One Year Contract Extension for lawn and Landscape Maintenance
for Area "A" to Rood Landscape Co., in fhe amount of $97,868
Having a FY 2004 Budge# Attoca�ion of $97,868
In 1998, the Village received bids for Lawn and Landscape Maintenance for Area "A"
which includes Village properties and certain right-of-way areas east of Old Dixie
Highway. The contract allowed for successive one-year renewals based upon the
Consumer Price lndex (CP1j which was 1.5% for the past twelve months. Rood
Landscape was the original low bidder for Area "A" and the firm has agreed #o a one-
year extension based upon the terms o# the contract.
I have reviewed the contractual services provided by Rood Landscape and would
recommend the Village Council award this contract in the amount of $97,868. The
contract period runs from October 1, 2003 through September 30, 2004.
The project location, new yearly amount and department receiving senrices are listed

A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY,
FLORIDA, AWARDING A ONE (1} YEAR CONTRACT
EXTENSION (OCTOBER 1, 2003 THROUGH
SEPTEMBER 30, 2004) FOR AREA "A" LAWN AND
LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE TO ROOD LANDSCAPE
CO., INC., OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA, IN THE
AMOUNT OF $97,868, HAVING A FY 2004 BUDGET
ALLOCATION OF $97,868, AND AUTHORIZING THE
VILLAGE NIANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPLICABLE
PROPOSAL ON BEHALF OF THE VILLAGE.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY T8E VILLAGE COIINCIL OF
THE VII,LAGE OF TEQIIESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, AS
FOI�LOWS :
Section 1. An Agreement with Rood Landscape Co., Inc.,
of Tequesta, Florida, accepting a one (1) year
contractual extension in accordance with Resolution No.
36-97/98 for Area "A" Lawn and Landscape Maintenance in
the amount of $97,868, attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and
incorporated by reference as part of this Resolution is
hereby approved, and the Village Manager of the Village
of Tequesta is authorized to execute the applicable
contract on behalf of the Village of Tequesta.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION WAS OFFERED by Councilmember
Genc,o , who moved its adoption. The
motion was seconded by Councilmember Watki.�n,s ,
and upon being put to a vote, the vote was as follows:
