This is to bring the Village's policy in line with Section 115.07 of Florida Statutes, which supersedes our current policy as written. VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA PERSONNEL POLICY 2. EMPLOYEE'S RFSPONSIBILITIES: A. The employee is responsible to provide to their department head copies of a11 military orders, which will result in a leave of absence for active military duty. Orders must specify the duties of absence, promulgation authority, letter order number and signature of issuing authority. Employees aze required to notafy their supervisors at the earliest possible date upon learning of scheduled military duty. B. Employees who fail to return to work on the date specified in the leave request without receiving an extension in advance or without providing appropriate and acceptable documenta.tion regarding the need for an extension will be subject to disciplinary action up to and including termination. C. Inactive duty training da.tes (weekend drills) should be provided to the Department Head as soon as available if the dates conflict with scheduled employment with the Village. III. ACCOUNTING PROCIDURES: A. All military leaves will be processed via the Personnel Action form. B. Military Leave will be accounted for in increments of 24-hour periods (from 0001 hours to 24W hours).
