NOW, THEItEFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TI-� VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FI,ORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. A Fee Proposal from Song + Associates, Inc., of West Palrn Bea.ch, Florida,
for Conceptual Design of the Village Center to be located at the Old Village HalUNew
Public Safety Facility Site at 357 Tequesta Drive, Tequesta, Florida in the amount of
$10,000 plus expenses and hourly rates for topographic date, site survey, zoning and deed
restrictions, and other such data., attached hereto as EXHIBIT "A" and incorporated. by
reference as part of this Resolution as hereby approved, and the Village Manager of the
Village of Tequesta is authorized to execute the applicable contract on behalf of the
' Village of Tequesta.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION was offered by Councilmember

Viilage Center to be IoCated 2it the Old City Hall ! New Public Safety Building site at 357
7equesta Drive, Tequesta, Florida.
The foilowing is a summary of our Scope of Work:
A Architectural Services shall be limited to the Conceptual Schematic Design Phase. Our
scope of work shall include and be iimited to the design and documerrtation efforts for
the deveivpment o# presentation drawings for Village Council 8nd will include one
solution for the one site; 357 Site Section 7(this site plan util'�zes only the ar�a east of
the new Public Safety Building and nqrth of the existing park) as shawn at the Public
Workshops, Summer of 2001 (refer tv the attached three cflnceptual design conr,ept site
pians.
1. Conceptual SchemBtic Design Senrices
a. Project Administratian Seroic�s consis6ng of coneeptual Schematic
Design consultation, research, conferences, pragress reports.
b. Conc�ptual besign 2�nd Documentatipn Services dunng the conceptual
Sc3�ematic Design phase respor�ding to p�ogram requirements and
preparation of conceptual site �lan, conceptual building functional plans
relation and eievation$ re�resenting architectural style.
c. � One p�rsp�ctive vinette showing a viear of the Village Center ta esta�lis�r
scale, materials, diaracter and style.
d. Conceptual design opinion of Probable Construction Cost.

representation we propose to prepa�e under this scope af work. These are presented
h�rein tar insight as to the quality of presentation that we wish ta bring to the Village
Council.

Professional pesign Services wiil include the Site Plan Approval Pracess, Standard
Design Develvpment Phases of Advanced Schem�tiC Design, Design Develvpment,
Construction documerrtss, 9idding and Nego#iation and Constructian Administration. This
part af the work will be �ervic:�d under sepa�ate cantract, which wifl be prepa�ed at a
later date for Owner's reviEw and apprnvai,
B. Fees
Professianal fees are bas+ed on an estimated tevei of effort for the phase tasks. Fo� this
conceptual Schematic Design Services engagement the Professional Services will be
perFormed fpr a fixed f�� �mount af $10,000.00 (Ten Thousand Dollars).
A pue Diligent Study for the existing site, such as an envir�nmental study, is �ot
included in the basic senrice and shall be performed as an adtiitional ser�ice at the
Cfwner's request.
The �wner shall #umish to Architect data relative to the design and construction of th�
project such as, but not limited to, a Site Survey shawing locations of 2�II water, sewer,
electric, drainage iines, drnreway tumouts, easements, etC., to►pvgraphic informatian and
k�cation of trees and landscaping, soil borings and irrterpretatian thereof, zoning and
deed restrictions and other such data, ali of which the Architect wili rely upon in
performing its servtc+es. Any of these senrices requested by �wner and per�armed by the
Architect will be billed at an hourly basis. �
Sor�g + Associates shall be paid for all reimbursable expenses such as p+tinting,
repraductions, pastage, lang dlstance telephone charges, and model which may be
required for project approvaf, in addition to the bas�c compensation at a rate of 1.2 tim�s
the actual amount.

During the eng2�gement, we wiil meet with the dwner and the Owner's Representative
Group (up ta th�ee meetings including one Village Gounci! Pre�sentation) to revi�w our
findin�s and �ecommendativns and to update the Owner �r� vur progress and seek
guidance and deci$ipns on then pending matters. We wili maintain our flexibility in
scheduling m�etings to meet th� requirements of the QHmer. Any additionai meetings
beyond the noted three sh�ll b� consid�red as additional services.
