Tom, attached are 13 sets of packets and plans for the ab�ve
referenced subject. The Church of the Good Shepherd is upgrading
their landscapin� and would like to �omgl� with the requirements
af Ord. 377 prior tQ the amortization expiration on March 8, 1995.
They comply with the grovisions of Ord. 377 except for the
requirsment set fvrth at Sgction ( 2>t c) Z1. of the Villaqe
Landscage Code. This Section requires a minimum four t 4' ) foot
wide landscaps strig segarating buildinqs from their parking
areas and traffic aisles. The Church has a landscage strig that
is from 18'• tQ 2�" in width with a walkway on on+a sids and th�ir
�uildings vn the othsr. It is their desirs to "not" tear ug and
remQVe parti�ns �f the cvncrete walkway in order to in�rease the
size of ths landscage strip ta 48^ in width ger the Cods
rsquirement. Staff recvmmends apgrvval,

10. Percentage of landscape coverdge required. Fifteen (15)
percent minimum of the gross parking area is to be
. devoted to living landscaping, which includes grass,
ground cover, plants, shrubs and trees. The gross
parking area is to be measured from the edge of parking '
andlor driveway paving and sidewalks, extended five
(5) feet in all directions, but is not to include any areas
enclosed by the building or covered by a building over-
hang. .
11. Required landscczpingsurroundingprincipal structures.
Parking rows and traffic aisles must be separated from
principal structures on the side and front by a land-
_ scape strip of at least four (4) feet in width. Where a
building fronts on two (2) streets, all sides of the
building, except for designated loading areas, must be
separated from parking rows and traffic aisles by a
landscape strip of at least four (4) feet in width which
shall include trees and/or hedges.
12. Compatibility with U.S. Highway One and Tequesta
Drive streetscapes. Landscaping plans of properties, in-
cluding proposed subdivisions, abutting or ac�jacent to
U.S. Highway One and Tequesta Drive, or any other
street upon which the village council has adopted a
� streetscape plan, shall, to the extent possible, conform
to the themes established by the village on the special
roadway corridors in the manner and form of the
streetscape plan adopted by the village council. The
property owner shall pay all costs of planning and land-
scaping improvements for all off-street streetscape land-
scaping required by this ordi.nance.
13. Minimum requirements of landscape plans. Landscape
plans subm3tted to meet the provisions of the ordi-
nance shall conform to the following criteria:
a. The landscape plans shall be drawn to a scale of
not less than one il) inch equals thirty (30) feet.
b. The landscape pIan shall clearly delineate all pro-
posed trees, shrubs, ground covers, required land-
scape strips, planting islands and other landscape
areas and treatments required by this ordinance.
