During this reportinq period, there were 468 recorded phone
calls to the Village Manager's Office and 145 citizen
inquiries at the lobby counter.
O Met with Mike Whelan, Esq. on August 29.
O Attended the Village Council Meeting held on August 30.
O Attended the Village Council Meeting on September 7.
O Met with Gary Van Brock regarding the Tequesta Branch Library
on September 8.
O Met with officials of Jupiter Hospital on September 13.
O Met with Chief Roderick on September 14 to review Police
Department matters.

O A Staff Meeting was conducted on September 6, 1994, wherein
the following items were discussed.
1) Distributed salary survey to all Departments askinq for
their input regardinq the same.
2) Requested the Building Official to provide a status
report relative to the tentative annexation plans.
3) Requested a status report relative to the rate study from
the Water System Manager.
4) Requested all Departments to review the final budget
documents for comments prior to the first Public Hearing.
5) Requested a written report regarding the Police
Department analysis and input for the fitness equipment
acquisition.
6) Inquired of the Finance Director and Director of Public
Works relative to the Palm Beach County Municipal League
Local Option Gas Tax request for information regarding
the same.
7) Remi.nded the Director of Public Works to devise a plan
for the bulk purchase of chosen trees for the Country
Club Drive Streetscape Plan and simultaneously to seek
State grants for Country Club Drive tree plantings.
8) Requested the Director of Public Works to provide a
status report on his preparation of information necessary
for a revised Recreation Impact Fee.
9) Requested the Chief of Police to consider the issuance of
warnings as opposed to tickets for speedinq on Country
Club Drive since Summer travelers and snowbirds would
begin their return to Tequesta encounterinq the reduced
speed limit. � �
10) The Finance Director requested copies of existing job
descriptions for Finance Department personnel.
llj The Fi.nance Director advised the Village Manager of a
recently retired Tequesta resident who is an engineer and
� wishes to volunteer his services for Tequesta.

12) The Fire Chief inquired as to the status of the fire-
rescue impact fee.
13) Fire Chief requested that health insurance coverages be
reviewed.
14) The Director of Public Works solicited input on the FPL
streetlight information.
15) The Director.of Public Works reported that the State of
Florida Department of Transportation had found Tequesta
Drive Bridge to be in satisfactory condition.
16) The Director of Public Works reported electrical problems
with the light standards in front of Village Hall.
17) The Director of Public Works indicated a problem was
growing with trash and debris left on Tequesta Drive
Bridge by inconsiderate fishermen.
18) In response to an inquiry on behalf of an employee, the
Chief of Police was advised that the cashing-out of
accrued vacation time for non-terminated personnel was
against Village Policy.
19) The Chief of Police discussed the pros and cons of voice
mail versus answering machines.
20) The Water System Manager sought direction relative to
facility amendments relative to the ADA and was told to
keep same in abeyance and to accommodate all members of
the public requesting assistance until facility needs are
addressed.
21) The Water System Manager provided a We11 25 and Pipeline
Project update.
22) Water System Manaqer advised that he would be in
attendance at the Palm Beach Countywide Backflow
Prevention Meeting.
23) Water System Manaqer asked the village Manager the status
of v�ater rate indeuing? .
24) Building Official inquired as to the status of Armour
' plat signatures.
25) Village Clerk reviewed plans necessary for the September
8th Primarp.
O Attended a Conanittee Meeting of the Jupiter Hospital on
September 7.

O A Staff Meeting was conducted on September 13, 1994, wherein
the following matters were reviewed: ,
1) Accommodating a work station for the Code Enforcement
Officer was discussed with the Building Official and the
Chief of Police.
2) Final input was sought from all Department Heads
regarding Annual Salary Survey.
3) The Huilding Official submitted the Comprehensive Plan
Ordinance for review and comment of all concerned.
4) The Chief of Police reviewed the electrical grounding
problems associated with Village Hall and reported he
would be reviewing a lightning protection system for
same.
5) Chief of Police reported that the Tequesta Country Club
lightning alarm system was not in violation of Tequesta
Ordinances.
6) In response to inquiry, Police Chief requested to
continue diligent enforcement of Country Club Drive speed
limit but to issue warnings for first violations as a
public relations courtesy to residents and non-residents
alike.
7) Director of Public Works sought direction relative to
swimming pool maintenance procedures.
8) Director of Public Works reported that flooding at Rinker
was alleged by Rinker employees to be due to the
inadequacy of the retention pond on west side of FEC
Railroad Tracks.
9) Director of Public Works indicated attendance would be
required at Martin County Development Review Committee
when Tequesta Park Project reviewed by same.
10) Director of Public Works souqht Village Manager input
relative to Tequesta,Country Club Community subciivision
� markers within Country Club Drive right-af-way.
11) Director of Public Works sought Village Manager input
relative�to need for lighting at median on Country Club
Drive at border with Martin County.
12) Finance Director indicated preparation underway for
advertisement for 1995 Budget.

13) Finance Director inquired as to any attendance at the
Community Development Block Grant Program Seminar at Palm
Beach County.
14) Finance Director indicated that other banks were
expressinq interest in securing Tequesta banking
business. Finance Director to seek Town of Palm Beach
RFP as model for same to ensure minimum standards for
Tequesta service are guaranteed.
15) Fire Chief indicated the EMS Council Meeting to review
Tequesta ALS Proposal was scheduled for September 22 and
Fire Chief advised to properly plan for same.
16) Fire Chief sought direction relative to proceeding with
EMS storage room construction.
17) Village Clerk indicated remote microphone for Council
Chambers had been ordered.
18) Village Clerk indicated records purge was complete with
records destruction forthcoming.
19) Village Clerk indicated that annual Code Supplement had
been ordered.
