Z000, at 7:00 pm. • Prepared Notice, Agenda, Memoranda for September 14, 2000, Village Council Meeting. • Letter to Sandy Lees, Solid Waste Authority, regarding 1999/2000 Recycling and Education Grant ' Quarterly Payment Request. Recycied Paper • A Staff Meeting was held on September 26, 2000, wherein the following items were discussed: 1. The Fire Chief was asked about preparation of Fire/Rescue personnel/equipment on east side of railroad tracks for the October 2-4 Tequesta Drive railroad crossing. 2. Th.e Fire Chief was asked about training for Fire Department in Tequesta Plaza Building. 3. The Police Chief was asked if the Police Department was ready for the October 2-4 Tequesta Drive railroad crossing. 4. The Police Chief was reminded about political signs and the upcoming October 3 rd Second Primary. 5. The Public Works Director was asked about arrangements regarding notification to the Jupiter Courier/Palm Beach Post regarding the Tequesta Drive railroad crossing closing. 6. The Public Works Director was asked status of Riverside Drive pathway/drainage project with County. 7. The Public Works Director was asked about Precinct 2 and 14 were preparations for the upcoming October 3r Primary. 8. The Director of Community Development was asked status of U.S. Highway One/Old Dixie Highway Overlay Zoning. 9. The Director of Community Development was asked status of Occupational License renewals. 10. The Director of Community Development was asked status of Centex and status of In- Rem Solutions obtaining grants. 11. Director of Community Development was asked status of Clairbridge and The Crossings. 12. Acting Assistant Manager asked status of the FOP and CWA Union negotiations. 13. Departments Heads were advised that the Finance Department would be forwarding a � list of outstanding P.O.'s for their review. 14. Department Heads advised that the Village of Tequesta has been classified as a Class 7 in the National Flood Insurance Community Rating System which entitles Tequesta residents to a 15o flood insurance discount. 15. Department Heads were asked about agenda items for upcoming Village Council Meeting. 16. Fire Chief reported ambulance, aerial truck/personnel would be situated at Bridge Road Facility for duration of Tequesta Drive Railroad Crossing closure. ' 17. Fire Chief reported Department of Emergency Operation was reconfiguring flood zones. 18. Director of Community Development reported that Centex had applied for DRC review; possible Site Plan Review at November Village Council Meeting. 19. Director of Community Development reported Marty Hodgkins submitted analysis of U.S. Highway One/Old Dixie Highway Overlay Zoning. 20. Director of Community Development reported that In-Rem Solutions were seeking grants for Tequesta Country Club drainage over a 2 FY period; hardened ECO room for Public Safety facility; shelter of last resort . for Tequesta Recreation Center. � 21. Director of Community Development Reported that Clairbridge is up and running and going very well; The Crossings is addressing damage due to delay - drywall/air conditioning duct work/internal sprinkler systems; contract negotiated and signed with J. McLaughlin, contractor. 22. Fire Chief reported construction of second and third floors are shut down until approved set of stairs is installed. 23. Fire Chief reported changes forthcoming in. Medicare Balance Budget Act; may effect EMS billing and revenues. 24. Fire Chief requested soda machine for employees. 25. Fire Chief reported Fire Dept. is recruiting personnel. 26. Acting Asst. Manager reported Mr. Kenney unable to attend Pension Board meeting. 27. Acting Asst. Manager reported Leo Noble would like to make a presentation to council regarding school concurrency. 28. Acting Assistant Manager reported Gee & Jensen, architects, met with police and fire chiefs regarding public safety for floor plans. 29. Acting Assistant Manager reported that he and Acting Utilities Director met with Martin County engineers regarding provision of water to Tropic Vista. 30. Acting Assistant Manager reported that Jeff Sabin, Nichols Sanitation, is working � on SWA education and recycling grant. ` . 31. Director of Public Works and Recreation reported contractor for Pinetree Drive was approved by ENCON for sewer � installation for one homeowner. 32. Director of Public Works and Recreation reported internal issues regarding Bayview Terrace: recreation easement/abandoned road and maintenance of right-of-way. 33. Chief of Police reported Juno Beach making inquiries as to whether Tequesta was interested in dispatching by mid-October. 34. Chief of Police announced Computer Committee Meeting October 3, at 10:00 am. 35.
