BACKGROUND: On May 27, 2011, Tequesta Towers filled an application to demolish a 410 Sq. Ft. pool cabana and construct a new 2,904 Sq. Ft. Pool Cabana/Fitness Building in the R-3 zoning district. On September 1, 2011, the Planning and Zoning Advisory Board recommended approval of the application. SPR 03-11 was approved by the Village Council on October 13, 2011. On December 12, 2013, the Planning and Zoning Advisory Board approved an application from Tequesta Towers for Site Plan Modification (SPM 02-13) to eliminate the roof terrace and spiral staircase approved under SPR 03-11. The application was submitted after the Planning and Zoning Department staff became aware that the building had not been constructed per the reviewed and approved plans. Planning and Zoning Advisory Board — Staff Report — 2.20.2014 On January 7, 2014, the Planning and Zoning Department staff was informed that the pool cabana building had been painted, but the new contractor was unaware of the requirement for specific paint colors. Tequesta Towers was immediately contacted, and the subject application was filed. 4. STAFF REVIEW The proposed Site Plan Modification application is to modify a previously approved Site Plan Review (SPR 3- 11) by changing the color of the new pool cabana building and, approval for future painting of the Towers building (including landscape and retaining walls, and walkways) in 2016. Tequesta Towers is requesting a modification to the building colors to be consistent with neighboring buildings and with the intention of painting the Towers building (including landscape and retaining walls, and walkways) in "Clivdan White" in 2016. The truth is that we lost our original General Contractor in a tragic death. This has caused our lack of communication between us and the Building Deparrinent and left us in a place that we did not know what Pariseleti had communicated to the Building Department. We have been planning and budgeting to paint our high rise towers consistent with our neighbor buildings. The Claridge, Carlyle, Cliveden, Ocean Sound, 100 Building are all white. Therefore, that is why we are painting our fitness center white and plan to paint our high rise in 2416 in the same matching white color.
