HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes_Local Planning Agency_02/20/2014 Planning & Zoning Advisory Board Sitting as the Local Planning Agency MEETING MINUTES February 20, 2014 CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL The Village of Tequesta Planning & Zoning Advisory Board sitting as the Local Planning Agency held a regularly scheduled meeting at the Tequesta Village Hall, 345 Tequesta Drive, Tequesta, Florida, on Thursday, February 20, 2014. The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. A roll call was taken by Joanne Burnsed, who noted the following were present: Chair James Hackett, Board Member Elizabeth Schauer, Board Member Steve Eagen, Board Member Janet Strand, and Alternate Sebastian Loaiza. Also present were Planning and Zoning Director Nilsa Zacarias, and Village Attorney Keith Davis. APPROVAL OF AGENDA MOTION Board Member Schauer moved to approve the agenda as submitted. Board Member Loaiza seconded the motion, which carried by unanimous 5-0 vote. 1. APPROVAL OF PREVIOUS MEETING MINUTES: January 16, 2014 MOTION Board Member Strand moved to approve the minutes of the January 16, 2014 meeting as submitted. Board Member Schauer seconded the motion, which carried by unanimous 5-0 vote. 2. ORDINANCE NO. 6-14: An Ordinance of the Village Council of the Village of Tequesta, F{orida, amending Chapter 78, Zoning, Art. Vf, Schedule of District Regulations, Division 1, generally, Section 78-143. Schedule of Site Requirements and Division 2, Schedule of Use Regulations, Section 78-177. C-2 Community Commercial District and Section 78-180, Mixed Use District, by reducing the maximum permitted building height to four stories/50 feet, and eliminating the option for a five story building with underground parking; further amending Art. VII, Planned Residential Developments, Section 78-225. General Requirements and Special Regulations, by reducing the maximum permitted building height to four stories/50 feet; and also amending at Art. VIII Planned Commercial Developments, Section 78-255, General Requirements and Special Regulations, by reducing the maximum permitted building height to four stories/50 feet; providing that each and every other section and sub- section of Chapter 78, Zoning, shall remain in full force and effect as previously adopted; providing a conflicts clause, a severability clause and authority to codify; providing an effective date; and for other purposes. MOTION Board Member Schauer moved to recommend approval to Village Council of Ordinance No. 6-14 as submitted. Board Member Loaiza seconded the motion, which carried by unanimous 5-0 vote. PUBLIC COMMENT - None BOARD COMMENT - None ADJOURNMENT There being no further business to come before the Board, upon motion by Board Member Schauer, seconded by Board Member Strand and carried by unanimous 5-0 vote, the meeting was adjourned at 6: 03 p. m.
