Sincereiy, J�NES, F rO�iNSTON 8t STi]BBS, p.A. . oha C. olph 7CR/ssm EncZosures DRAFT RESOLUTION NO. -00/Ol A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, CREATING AN AD HOC ADVISORY BOARD TO THE VILLAGE COUNCIL TO BE KNOWN AS THE CITIZENS ADVISORY BOARD; ESTABLISHING ITS PURPOSE; PROVIDING FOR ITS MAKEUP; AND ESTABLISHING THE TERM OF ITS EXISTENCE; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, it is important to Village Council that it receive input from its residents relating to the concerns of the residents of the Village; and WHEREAS, the Village Council is interested in open and continuous communications between the Village Council and the residents of the Village; and WHEREAS, The Village Council feels that the appointment of Citizens Advisory Board will be of assistance to the Village in accomplishing the goals of the Village Council on behalf of its residents and maintaining good and open communications between the Village Council and its residents. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL O�' THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section l. The Village Council hereby authorizes the formation of an ad hoc advisory board to be known as the Citizens Advisory Board. The specific purpose of said Board shall be to serve as an advisory board to the Village Council on matters of interest relating to the Village. Section 2. The Citizens Advisory Board shall consist of inembers, all of whom shall be residents of the Village. Section 3. The Village Council shall appoint all members to tT�e Citizens Advisory Board. Section 4. The Citizens Advisory Board shall establish its own schedule for meetings and shall meet as often as the Board determines necessary or when requested by the Village Council to accomplish the purpose of advising the Village Council on matters of interest to the.Village Council and to the residents of the Village. Section 5. The Citizens Advisory Board shall remain in existence for a period of year (s) from the date of its creation, unless the term is extended by action of the Village Council. Section 6. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage. THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION WAS OFFERED by Councilmember , who moved its adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilmember , and upon being put to a vote, the vote was as follows: FOR ADOPTION AGAINST ADOPTION The Mayor thereupon declared the Resolution duly passed and adopted this 14 day of June, A.D, 2001.
