to review Village Council agenda for regular meeting on
March 8, 2001.
• Interview on March 5, 2001 with Jim Abernathy, a candidate
for the vacant position of Utilities Director.
• March 5, 2001 reviewed draft survey results prepared b�r

• Interview on March 5, 2001 with Raymond Wazny, a candidate
for the vacant position of Director of Community
Development.
• On March 5, 2001, faxed draft citizen survey results to
Village Council members for review.

• Prepared letter on March 5, 2001 to Mayor Miner of Jupiter
Inlet Colony regarding continuation of providing

• On Tuesday, March 6, 2001 had a conference with Russell
White (Utilities) tb review new hire and personnel issues,
Phase I& II of Country Club Utility Projects.
• March 6, 2001 reviewed outstanding payables with Finance
Department and processed.

discussed a variety of issues regarding Village.
• Meeting on March 12, 2001 with Jean Mills (Palm Beach
County Schools), reviewed Village of Tequesta School
Concurrency Handbook. Reviewed status and plans to
finalize.
• March 12, 2001, reviewed status of combined proposal for
recreational services with Gary Preston, draft to be
completed by 03-21-2001.
• Prepared letter on March 12, 2001 to Palm Beach Post (Joe
Brogan) for Mayor Capretta regarding citizen survey
prepared by PMG Associates.

• On March 12, 2001 scheduled a meeting of the Community
Appearance Board for April 18, 2001 at 9:30 a.m. at
Village Hall to review new Historic and Landmark Tree grid
and begin consideration and designation of Tequesta
historic trees.
• On March 12, 2001 negotiated to retain Dan Gallagher as a
permanent part-time employee from temporary employment
agency (savings approximately $10,000.00 for Village of
Tequesta). Provides stability and continuity in Finance
Department.
• Reviewed on March 12, 2001 a bid award for Country Club
Drive with Gary Preston to ensure that all questions were
resolved.
• March 12, 2001 had a telephone conference with Bruce
Baker, Florida East Coast Railway, L.L.C.
• Telephone conference on March 12, 2001 with John
Zuccarelli of JMZ Tequesta Properties regarding postal
address designations for his building and future buildings
on site.
• Marc� 12, 2001 telephone conference with Bill Re�e of
Ree Macon Engineers regarding candidates for position of
Utility Director.
• Held department head staff ineeting on March 13, 2001 which
the following items were discussed:
- Staff ineeting will be held one week earlier and will
continue one week after Village Council Meeting
- Finance will have a presentation at May Village
Council Meeting (Michael to do April meeting)
- Will continue to introduce new employees at all
council meetings
- Went over March 8, 2001 agenda
- Phase 1& Phase 2 of Countr� Club going smoothly

regarding their facilities - requested copy of floor

Duncan and Associates to review status of U.S. One Overlay

• Conference on March 20, 2001 with Assistant Village
Manager/Village Clerk regarding capital improvement
projects and upcoming Village Council Meeting.
• Wednesday, March 21, 2001 attended breakfast forum at FAU
with faculty, Roger Buckwalter and other community
leaders. The focus was relationships - how we can work
effectively together.
• Meeting on March 21, 2001 with residents (Dick Cliggott
and Aris Manzaiali) from 100 Ocean Towers to review
concerns regarding permits for renovation work at their
residence.
• March 21, 2001 met with Council member Genco to review
capital projects and other issues.
• Meeting on March 21, 2001 with Gary Preston to review
project status on Seabrook Road and Tequesta Pines.

(architects/engineers) for publication in Palm Beach and
Broward newspapers. This RFP is for design of a new
Village Center.
• Telephone conference on March 22, 2001 with Village

to form by Village Attorney. Advertising dates March 25,

• Had telephone conversation on March 22, 2001 with Palm
Beach Post reporter Bob King - requesting public records
of water consumption and associated costs at 41 Saddle
Back Road, Mr. Leonard E. Lindahl (information faxed as
requested) .
• March 22, 2001 telephone conversation with Mr. Charles
Linch, Vice President Florida East Coast Railroad
regarding status of rule making on whistle blowing at
intersections.
� Telephone conference March 22, 2001 with resident �'Pe
Giba, 78 Fairview East, problems with his driveway and
existing boil water order.
• Telephone interview on March 22, 2001 with Palm Beach Post
reporter Joe Brogan regarding project status for capital
improvements in Tequesta.
• March 22, 2001 meeting with Assistant Chief Garlo
regarding status of Easter Egg Program.
• Meeting on March 22, 2001 with representatives from
auditing firm Nowlen Holt & Miner to review status of
audit and extension.
• Friday, March 23, 2001 visited temporary facilities to
review progress - project is ahead of schedule and will be
complete within 2 � weeks.

Building Official), reviewed projects and
responsibilities.

Inc., at his office to review progress on temporary
police/fire facilities and address concerns regarding time
frame for completion of communication system wiring and
finalization with Bell South.
• Meeting on March 23, 2001 with Joann Manganiello to review
project status of Main Street and give direction on
proposed change order.
• Meeting March 23, 2001, with Finance Director Jody
Forsythe regarding need to keep auditors focused and
importance of ineeting desired time frames.
• Meeting with Vice Mayor Schauer on March 23, 2001 to
review school concurrency and Village Center.
• March 23, 2001 telephone conference with Ellen Holm,
principal of The Good Shepard Schools regarding demolition
of Village Hall. Assured her that we will coordinate the
project to minimize any inconvenience to school. Directed
Chief Weinand to meet with her to review project.
• March 26, 2001 telephone conversation with Village
Attorney regarding agenda items for regular Council
Meeting on April 12, 2001.
• Meeting on March 26, 2001 with Mayor Capretta to review
agenda items for regular Village Council Meeting on April
12, 2001.

of Lighthouse Center for Arts inquiring status of Village
Hall - indicated it will be demolished May 2, 2001.

- Finance issues - future change in administration
policy regarding purchase orders of $500 and higher,
will all work together on various problems and
resolve by fiscal year October 2001

- Fire Chief Weinand said he is applying far a Federal

installed in the Village of Tequesta (desired site is the
Village of Tequesta Water Plant).

his development and to review status of land swap.

drawings for Public Safety Facility.

Preston - system has been energized, requested Gary to
review and get a proposal to install conduit for
additional lighting to complete projects in area.
