Couuo, Jr., Village Manager C,�l ��� DATE: January 5, 2001 f� � SUBjECT: Recommendation for Position of Finance Director �� In accordance with Section 3.02(� of the Village Charter, I respectfully submit for your review and approval the appointment of JoAnn Forsythe as Finance Dirctor , for the Village of Tequesta. The Finance Director position has been vacant since July 10, 2000 (the assistant finance director position — vacant since June 26, 2000). Attached is a Conditional Offer of Employment letter from Kim Bodiniao, Personnel Specialist, for the Village of Tequesta. After the Selection Committee (Michae) Couzzo, Village Manager; Joann Manganiello, Assista.nt Village Manager; Kim Bodiniuo, Personnel Specialist, and Daniella Russell, auditor, Nowlen, Holt & Miner) interviewed Ms. Forsythe, they unanimously recommended the appointment of Ms. Forsyth. So I am pleased to recommend her as Finance Director. A copy of her resume, detai(ing education, background and experience is attached for your review and consideration. Please note that Ms. Forsythe is a Certified Public Accountant and has municipal government experience. I believe Ms. Forsythe has the skills and experience necessary for the position, and will be an asset to the Village of Tequesta. I have negotiated a sta.rting with salary with Ms. Forsythe of $60,000 per year. Additionally, she will receive the same benefits as other Department Heads. I am confident that Ms. Forsythe will provide the leadership and guidance required, as well as assist me in providing excellence in financial accounting, document presentation, budget preparation, compliance with government regulations, computer and information systems management. Should the Village Council approve her appointment, I anticipate Ms. Forsythe to begin work on Monday, January 22, 2001. Any offer of employment is contingent upon receipt of a satisfactory physical and background check. I appreciate your review and consideration of this request.
