I am pleased to file the following detailed report by this office. As this is my
first report, I am fol{owing the format previously used. Please advise if I can

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you, the residents of Tequesta,
and the Village staff for the warm welcome and assistance over the past
month.

• Conducted introductory meetings with Mayor and
various department heads on October 2, 2000.
• Attended FOP review cneeting with Richard Diamond
and Kim Bodinizzo on October 3, 2000.
• Held staff ineeting on October 3, 2000.
• Held meeting with Councilrnember Dalack on October
3, 2000.
• Had meeting with Mayor Capretta on October 4,
2000; attended Palm Beach Mayors and Manager's
luncheon with Mayor Capretta.
• Met with Councilmember Genco on October 6, 2000.
• Met with Public Works Director, Gary Preston on
. October 6, 2000.
• Met with Mayor Capretta on Octaber 9, 2000.
• Had lunch meeting with Lee Evett and Gail Nelson,
Village Manager of Juno Beach, on October 9, 2000.
• Met with Jim Turner, Jupiter Courier, regarding an
article on the new Village Manager of Tequesta, on
October 9, 2000.
• Had interview with finance director candidate on
October 9, 2000. �
• Had lunch meeting with Richard Dent of ENCON on

• Attended meeting with Reese Macon representative
and Tom Jensen, Acting Utilities Director, on

• Attended Manager's Luncheon meeting on October 13,

• Attended meeting with Joann Manganiello, Kara
Irwin and Richard Diamond, regarding school
concurrency, on October 13, 2000.

meeting with Sharon Walker, Councilmember, on
October 25, 2000.
• Attended Tequesta Pines HOA meeting with Elizabeth
Schauer, Councilmember, on October 25, 2000.
• Conducted interviews with candidates for finance
director on October 25, 2000.
• Finalized CWA negotiations with staff on October
26, 2000.

• Conducted meeting with Village auditors and staff
regarding year end close on October 26, 2000.
• Met with Sharon Walker, Councilmember, staff and
consultant regarding U.S.1/Old Dixie Highway
overlay project.
• Met with Steven Olsen, insurance underwriter for
Village, on October 31, 2000.
• Held conference with Village Attorney in West Palm
Beach to review legal issues and format for
Village Workshop on November 1, 2000.
• Met with Mayor Capretta regarding Village Workshop
on November 1, 2000.
• Conducted interview with candidate for finance
director position on November 2, 2000.
• Held meeting with ENCON representatives to review
close-out Phase I Sewer/Water/Drainage project and
to discuss Phase II - possible joint project bid,
on November 2, 2000.
• Held conference with David Brown, Jupiter
Utilities Director, to review joint utility
issues, on November 2, 2000.
• Held pre-workshop review with Mayor Capretta and
Village Attorney on November 3, 2000.
• Attended Village Council Workshop meeting to
review procedures and goals(summary attached) on
November 3, 2000.
• Toured Village with Mayor Capretta on November 6,
2000.
• Finalized recommendation for finance director on
November 6, 2000.

• Finalized Utility Superintendent's job description
on November 6, 2000.
� Scheduled meeting for November 15, 2000, with
utility engineers and rate specialist to review
existing conditions.
• Attended Bid Opening for Bridge Road project,
received and reviewed material, on November 6,
2000.
• Attended and conducted Village Staff Meeting on
November 7, 2000, where the following items were
discussed:
l. Utilities Department reported on water
hookup for Girl Scouts.
2. Personnel Specialist discussed timesheets
and handbooks.
3. Special Projects Coordinator discussed AT&T
cell tower.
4. Kara Irwin, Planner, discussed 20 acres of
Rude property and annexation of that
property.
� Conducted meeting with Pat Hartley and Sandy
McKee, residents of The Country Club, regarding
Country Club monuments, on November 7, 2000.
• Processed refunds for occupational licenses
(approximately 500)on November 7, 2000.
� Held meeting with Councilmember Schauer and
representatives of Lighthouse Gallery to discuss
future needs and possible joint ventures on
November 7, 2000; agreement was made to decorate
holiday tree and village hall.
• Held conference with Councilmember Walker
regarding upcoming Citizen Survey on November 8,
2000.

stormwater utilities, and agreement with Northern,
on November 8, 2000.
• Prepared letter to Publix regarding inquiry as to
future facility expansion and renovation for Mayor
Capretta, on November 8, 2000.
