CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL The Village of Tequesta Planning & Zoning Advisory Board held a regularly scheduled meeting at the Tequesta Village Hall, 345 Tequesta Drive, Tequesta, Florida, on Thursday, March 20, 2014. The meeting was called to order at 5:30 p.m. A roll call was taken by Planning and Zoning Director Nilsa Zacarias, who noted the following were present: Vice Chair Michael Schmidt, Board Member Elizabeth Schauer, Board Member Steven Eagen, Board Member Janet Strand, and Alternate Sebastain Loaiza. Alternate Ashley Warren arrived late. Village Attorney Keith Davis was also present. APPROVAL OF AGENDA MOTION Board Member Schauer moved to approve the agenda as submitted. Board Member Eagen seconded the motion, which carried by unanimous 5-0 vote. 1. APPROVAL OF PREVIOUS MEETING MINUTES: February 20, 2014 MOTION Board Member Strand moved to approve the minutes of the February 20, 2014 meeting as submitted. Board Member Loaiza seconded the motion, which carried by unanimous 5-0 vote. The Village Attorney swore in all those intending to offer testimony in either of the cases on tonight's agenda. No exparte communication was reported. 2. SPM 04-14: Application of DMT Commons to modify the exterior building color. The address of the proposed application is 385 Tequesta Drive, Tequesta. Planning and Zoning Director Nifsa Zacarias introduced the application, and advised the applicant had already completed the painting. MOTION Board Member Schauer moved approval of SPM 04-14. Motion was seconded by Board Member Eagen. During discussion of the mofion, Resident Dottie Campbell, Eastwood Circle, advised she was the major owner of this property, Gallery Square North shopping center, and described the building color and lettering. She commented the paint color did not go with the color in the rest of the shopping center, the lettering implied DMT Commons was a shopping center within a shopping center, and the bricks had been painted. She encouraged the Board to require consistent exterior paint color and lettering. Planning and Zoning Director Zacarias explained the Planning and Zoning Department had approved the lettering for the sign, this application was only for building color, and clarified there were three owners in this shopping Planning & Zoning Advisory Board MEETING MINUTES March 20, 2014 Page 2 of 2 center. Deborah Tornaben, 19750 Beach Road, reported the signage had been approved, the building color was similar to the previous co/or, they had not painted the bricks, and they did not want to cause any problems. Motion was approved 5-0. It was noted that Alternate Ashley Warren had joined the meeting. 3. SPM 05-14: Application of Mary, Mother of the Light Maronite Catholic Church to modify the exterior building colors and install a storage shed. The address of the proposed application is 46 Willow Road, Tequesta. There were no questions from the Board. MOTION Board Member Schauer moved approval of SPM 05-14. Motion was seconded by Board Member Strand; motion carried by unanimous 5-0 vote.
